Gotta love this....
Window Film Alternative I like the wording "High vacuum suction cups " in the description.
I can't wait to get home, so I can email this company and ask some "stupid" questions.....
"Reflective window film blocks your view proportional to the UV rays it blocks" Nothing like informing the consumer on BS statements like this
I also read on there "blocks 90% UV " when you click on shades..that's not a great selling point

PS: I put "tints" on purpose so they wouldnt get suspicious..... Hi, I am interested in Your shades. I have 9 windows that I would like covered, because I have a MAJOR problem with fading. I had some people that install tints come out and measure the windows, and they said they could block 99 percent of UV with a clear tints. Is this true? Thank You! Rebecca

I'll give that website six months before their host shuts them off and puts up something truly useful on their former URL...like say p**n.

this is my favorite quote "The thicker the film (more UV ray block) the less you can see through the window." hahahahaha!!!! "I only install super slim thin tint". would be my way of responding in their language

Hi Rebecca, <-------- I'm not sure how clear their clear tints are. As a rule of thumb, tints and window films can block UP TO 99% of UV rays. However,the more UV they block, visibility and heat transfer usually become an issue. UV rays pass through glass because they do not excite glass molocules. Tints and films are formulated to to be excited and collect the UV rays by utilizing the energy from the rays and expending it as heat (to experience this fact, sit in an auto with tinted windows for ten minutes with windows rolled up and no air conditioning). Consequently, the tint or film heats up and being in contact with the glass, the glass heats up and that heat is transferred into the room. If fading of furniture, carpet, etc. is your only concern, then window tinting or film will do the trick. However, if heat reduction and air conditioning expenses are also a concern, then you still have a problem. Our PolyCB2 MX-90 solar shade material not only provides good visibility and glare reduction, but it eliminates the effect of UV rays. The compounds within the coating of the fiber stands block passage of these high frequency solar waves by collecting them and nutrilizing them (very much like sun screen lotions that you apply to your skin) without producing heat. Customers who have experienced window tinting and window films have reported that they highly prefer our product over any other method. They get good visibility without all the drawbacks. Thats right, window film increases you air conditioning costs. I tell all my customers "the darker it is, the hotter it will be inside".
There is a trade off, when you do silver 20 it may look nice and give you privacy, but it will sure heat up the other side.... oh wait... hahaha
