Hello to all.
Called EWF today and apparently they are not sure about thier film. I hear alot of great things about them. yet i asked for a sample roll and they want to sell me one and refund the price on my first order IF i like it. So if i dont like it then i guess im out some $$ and they have a sale?? most other film companys will be confident and happy to send a roll.
Whats up with all that? It sure makes it hard to switch films or create a win/win situation. Just wandering. However, if Howard would be willing to send a sample to me , I will be more than happy to install it on my brothers new malibu, post pic , and give an honest evaluation of the film...and post whether i will continue to use their film or not.

BTW it is the True Black that i was interested in trying.

just spend the $-- and pick up a roll to see if you like it or not, not that big of a deal dunno.gif don't be so cheap.

TB is one of the nicest NR films on the market right now, which is why i use it as my main line. I LOVE it compared to everything I've used in the past(global, jwf, SG, etc etc).

Express isn't a huge multi-million dollar international company, so they can't just be sending out $-- boxes of film to every joe blow hoping that some of them buy it. This weeds out the true hacks and cheapos, because if you don't want to spend the money on a sample which you will get refunded, then he probably doesn't want your business in the first place since your probably looking for free film handouts.
TTS
I doubt they were asking for very much $$ for the sample.. Heck.. if they want too much you can just buy the whole roll....

There are lots of reviews of the True Black product... just hit the search button thumb.gif

Are you just mad because you can't get free film for you brothers car dunno.gif
skanlan
no need for the samples the film is awsome trust us!!
z-tints
yeah i have read all the reviews thats why im interested, i also seen that they did send samples to others without having to buy the sample rolls. as for you scotty whatever, seeing your experience i doubt that you have been through the mumbo jumbo, with film companys.
I know , and trust with the reviews that it is probably a great film, but mabye I should do as EWF suggested that alot of people do,.. buy from VT 1st order @ 1/2 price , then buy from them at the cheaper price!! Or else i should just stick to suntek..but i know the new color stable technology at that price is hard to beat!! I just got used to all the film companys trying to send samples and win me thier business , then ask EWF for a sample and not get one... well i guess i just got a little upset knowing that they send others free samples and not me.
Mabye im wrong for posting this, but im looking for film company that wont surprise me with sudden price changes, and that re-send price lists that are ridiculous in the price difference.
You fellows with experience know what i mean. The comany that got $$$$ worth of business now say that to get the good prices that i was used that i have to buy $$$$$$$ worth of more film to get the same price!
So now i dropped em, since the rep that i have always delt with is no longer with the company and the other reps price list is way -way higher than I was getting. Its almost like the reps make up thier own prices!!

Im just venting i guess, i respect all you dudes... peace

again, you can't compare EWF to Suntek or any other big name company. They don't have multi million dollar marketing budgets to be able to afford sending samples to every joe blow that calls and wants one.

I, along with many others on here have bought thousands of dollars of auto/fg film from howard, so of course when a new film comes out hes going to give us a sample for free since he knows we like his product and wants us to talk about it with other people.

howards a good guy. don't buy from him if you don't like his procedures. i tell my kids deal with it and quit whining, that sht doesn't do you any good. your gonna get btch slapped.

Lights Out
Newbie Here! Just wanted to say that I just recieved a True Black sample roll from Howard.
I think it's great. And he's always there to answer any questions that I have. Even the obvious ones.
I'll also be buying more TB. beer.gif

Dear Mr. Z-Tints,

Sir.

That was me you were speaking with on the phone. As I explained, you can purchase a sample roll from us for $25.00. It comes with a $25.00 Coupon.

Alternatively:

If you don’t care to pay for the sample roll, you can fax us over a recent invoice from any competitor to show us that you purchased professional grade film within the last 60 days.

This information is also set forth on our sample roll request forms.

We don’t mind sending sample rolls – but we need to establish your bona-fides. I trust you understand.

Respectfully,

Howard

i have never had a issue with howard or any one who works for express window films howard has them very well educated with the products they carry....the film he carries is the best of the best of the imports out there... i have used it for years and have not had any issues its on my personal car and my wife has solargard we will see whos last longer ...buy the film if you dont like it he will buy it back it dont get more easier dunno.gif
jttint1
why do you need a sample roll?what is that going to tell you?if there's a problem with the film, you wont see it untill a year or so.how are you going to "test " it?the only way to test a film is to try to one piece a vette back glass, then that'll tell you if it shrinks well, other than that........you'll never know.
seriously,i've been buying from howard a long time,he'll NEVER steer you wrong.just do as he say's,he wont hurt you.imo true smoke line is a good film as far as what you need it for.shrinks great ,looks good ,easy to work with.

Thank you for your input everybody!!! Howard, I will send you my last order invoice to get sample. Geesh now i have all kinds of film mannys leaving messages to send me samples!!! I goes to show that most of them do look at these post!! anyways, dont want free film fro my brother in laws car, I can tint it today with what i have with no problems!!! However if Im gonna "try" a new film then its gonna be on his car, because if the film flops then its on "his" car and I can reinstall with no issues, plus I can see his car over and over as time goes by. but from My research i am pretty confident that the True black line is a great film for the price.

just remember that when dealing with howard its strickly business, I have heard nothing but good things about him on tint dude but quite the oposite on the street. I have recantly heard he values his customers buy how much film they buy. And if there there is a discrepence he will look up how much film you buy to see if he thinks your worth dealing with. Never met him but thats just what I heard.

what up bro

nono.gif i don't know where your hearing that from. I "only" buy 5-6 thousand dollars worth of film a year from several different manufacturers, and yet howard has comped me a roll in the past simply for being a good customer. I haven't had ANY of the other "major" manufacturers do that, all they care about is the bottom line and getting their money and making their profit.

i would pick very carefully who you choose to do your battles with, as we have all seen demonstrations of howards knowledge on here before

oh and btw, its discrepancy
ClassOnGlass
ace your crazy....thats why they are called rumors ....howard dont care if you buy 10 rolls for the yr or 100 rolls you get treated with the upmost most respect and quality service no matter what ....and as far as posting some crazy shiat like that with out knowing the truth is horrible .....
acetinter
no bs guys, and let me ask you if you think he has every roll number of every box of tint he has sold you. the things I have stated apsolutly happend.

I have known and dealt with Howard for many many years. For what its worth I dont think you have a clue. Your accusations are apparently second hand nonsense at best. I am not a current " BIG " customer of Howards but I have been in the past and weather I buy 1 or 1000 rolls from him it does not matter. He treats me as if I was his most important customer period. That my friend is true professionalism. I suggest you give a little more thought to what and whom you post about.

I got a sample roll of true black from Howard...(Thanks by the way Howard), I've since had to pretty much stop tinting, but did get to try that sample on a buddy's car, and would recommend it...Layed down very nice and I thought the color was great...

5-6k from all my different distributors combined(howard and global for auto and howard, JWF and SG for flat) so no, I'm not a "big" client to any one of them, but howard treats me the best by far out of all of them.
