please help me

i got a K reg renault clio for xmas from my parents and too say the heater is rubbish is an understatment lol my dad bought and put in a new thermostat and it didnt make a difference then today he turned it around and it worked for a little while but its started too overheat.

anyone have any idea what i can do too make it work properly?

the themostat will help keep the car from over heating if it is the correct one,it has nothing to do with the heater that would be the heater core sometimes when they leak people by pass them make sure it is hooked up properly if so you duct work to the vents is probably not opening and closing right.

ohhh ty, i will tell my dad that in the morning and see what happens

see if there is heat coming out of the vents on the top of the dash when the defrogger is turned on,
