Tire mounted standing platform

Full Version: Tire mounted standing platform
I picked this up a few years back so I thought I would post it. This is something you would not use every day but once and awhile, I have found it useful to help in the cleaning of windshields and to reach and cut around rear view mirror mounts. And also to do hood graphics on taller trucks and to do full hood PPF It feels real stable to stand on and to lean forward as well more so than a small ladder and with the corrugated platform your wet shoes will not slip unlike on a ladder. And Jeff it is more stable than a tank.

I got one of these and I don't use it nearly as much as I thought I would for tinting. I use it mainly for glass repair, but it is very stable unlike the cornelius tank

Good idea!
I was changing my oil last night and I seen it laying there and I forgot to mention that it is also adjustable in height. And it will fit wider tires as that part is also adjustable as well. So I put it on again to take a pic and thought it’s a good spot to put my oil.i think I will start to use it more offton.
I bought one a fews years ago I sometimes use it on eyebrows or when trimming a back window on a truck with a bed cover:dd
lol we have an A class mechanic at our shop that does all the Race cars and %&$#, this would work perfect for him. I should mention is is only like 5 feet tall. You should see this guy working on the excursion thats all jacked up in our shop.

Wouldn't you break out the Little Giant for the guy to get extra height ? Give this a try

HOW?
I bought one of those wheel step things... but I never use it. I can't seem to get the right angle for trimming when standing on it
most the trucks around here have 22 inch wheels not bobo alloys.. low profile tires...you have factory rims and about 80lbs on me..I've done over 1000 windshields for lee and kate glass..never had one of your steps to assit me...think a windshield stripe is harder to reach than a windshield? nope...
I visualize a little china man walking out of the darkness... He has a fairly large stick in his hand... He walks over to a large metal tube... He draws back his stick and lets it fly... ***** DONG *****
In the pic that is a 17” rim and yes it will not fit on all tires and rims. As I did not claim that it would fit every tire and wheel made. And I would think that common sense would tell you that. I have one and have posted it and it works well for me. And a few other members think it will work well for them as well. Go chase some shadow Art.i see one and now it is gone damm clouds.
that 's cool mike why so hasty? I just said the same as you thank you, again. wasn't trying to affend you...surry if I did...I'll stay off this thread if its fine with you?
