which DARK tint rejects the most heat ?

ok i know from the LIGHT tints V-Kool, Huper Select and 3M Crystalline are the ones excellent at rejecting heat ( there may be other good ones but that's besides the point )

problem is that DARK tints don't seem to focus as much on heat performance as on aesthetics ?

what if i want something around 15% on my rear doors and in the back - which would be the best tint as far as rejecting the most heat ?

if 70% transmitting tint can reject 55% heat then 15% transmitting tint better reject at least 80% heat as far as i am concerned ? but many don't reject as much as even a 70% clear tint does.

any such animal as 80% plus heat rejecting film ?

No there isn't any. The best limo films block in the 60s.

Most good 15% films will block in the mid to low 50s

Ceramics have a different technology which makes them reflective. Hense why they only offer as dark as 35. Any darker would increase reflectivity so much to where it would violate state laws.

makes sense and seems to make a good case for double tint ( metallic / ceramic on outside and nonreflective on the inside )

i've used solar guard's quantum tint 15% before and it rejects up to 61% of heat i think. i've also used 70% vkool all around on my previous car and then added a second layer of tint to make it darker. i've also noticed a lot of these DARK tint don't reject much heat so doing a double layer came to mind. if you want the black tint look then have the dark tint on first then second layer of vkool as the second layer.

FormulaOne make Pinnacle which is a ceramic film, and they carry a 5% and 15% in the pinnacle series. Of course they carry 35% and 40% also, but just saying, from my personal experince installing it, ceramic (formulaone pinnacle) doesn't look reflective.... Idk about the formulaone pinnacle 5% though because we dont carry that darkness in that series.... just sayin...
