ive just talked to Korear-Tinter and told me this shocking story.

as most of you guys know, that KT was all/ 100% solargard. and now he uses only Sun-gard.
i'll tell u what he told me over the phone.

on last july, Sungard sponsored a the 1st Tint-off Korea held in korea. it was open to all tinters regardless of what brand they use.
so out of several hundred of people, KT won the FIRST place. that's when he found out how loyal and good products sungard has so
he started to use a small amount of Sungard Films. thats when all the trouble began.
whenever solargard found out about him stocking Sungard films, they immediately boycott KT.

KT is VERY dissapointed at Solargard. over the years, he put down close to a Million Dollar on products, and all the fees that
he paid to promote Solargard. and they didn't even give him any exclusivity, nor any kind of benefits.
so after many years of dealing/working/promoting (paying out of his pocket) with solargard, he never had any intension to
switch to Sungard. but more likely he wanted to use both, becuz they were both an excellent quality film he thought.

he told me how heart broken he was.. after all that years promoting Solargard brand, having pride in what he sells and what he put on
his customers cars. one mistake, or one misunderstanding,, instead of working it out with him, Solargard basically ditched him.
he's just dissapointed the way Solargard treated him after all those years.. his personal relationship with Solargard people..

i guess business is business,, can't build a personal relationship with Dealer/Distributors..
no matter what u do for them, if they have no use in you, they'll ditch you right away.

That's a shame for Solar Guard because they ditched a great tinter!!!!!!!!

he also added that If theres any of you guys going to the SEMA show, he'll be there with Sungard people,
that was his prize for winning the 1st place. there 's a pretty good chance he'll demonstrate. but not sure yet.

Here in the UK i trained with Beakert (Europe SolarGard importer) Used their products as i trained with them and had a "feel" for the film. Had their logos on my vehicle and business cards etc. Then tried SunTek carbon loved it, so i started buying that. Rang up Beakert to order some film for a flat glass job and they said i hadnt bought any auto film from them for a while, i said no im using SunTek alot at the moment, but still carry SolarGard aswell. Got a call the next day from the sales manager, that unless i remove all SolarGard logos from my vehicle, website etc i will be sued!!! WTF i was only running a brand along side SolarGard.... and i spent £££ to train at there UK base,well i have never bought from them again im SunTek 100% now

am I the only one that hasn't had corporate issues with SG?

i have no issues what so ever things are so smooth there its awesome i love the customer service and the product 5 star rating by me

to bad for solar gard they lost a awesome tinter he had everything solar gard too from fender covers banners blankets he was good for business and put out a good quality job ...in my opinion i still think solar gard blows sun gard out the water but they blew it....

i guess stuff like this only happens outside of U.S??

hard to say, seems like a shame for all involved.... except the sungard rep lol
