I need to order tubes of attachment- Dow 995 or IPA for a security film job about 200 linear feet. I was wondering how much to order? It will be about a 1/2" thick (1/4" on the frame and 1/4" on the film) any help would be appreciated because I need to order pretty quick. Thanks

one oz per l/f should cover you. If you need black I may have enough if you need it

don't know where you are located but I have gotten 995 from this company http://www.kenseal.com/content/store/sealant-dowcorning.cfm they have stores up and down the east coast. Here's a tech paper from Dow about using 995 for anchoring film http://www.dowcorning.com/content/publishe...TECHTALK995.pdf The 1/4 " your planning on is a minimum per Dow but may not meet you film manny's spec dunno.gif don't know from your post just what you doing the attachment for (storm, security, blast) but to my knowledge most independant testing for film attatchments have been based on 1/2" bite frame and glass. Might check on it with your film distributor or manny to be sure though.

For a better finish, look into Bondkap. It is a trim that goes over the dow, making a cleaner finish..............

Dow has a calculator on their site that is fairly accurate for calculating how much 995 you will need based on the size of the bead you are laying down.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
