? for tinters on like the grand prix older style do you guys cut the defroster out first before installation are do the cut when the film is over top of defroster soilder thanks

i cut after. doing them before you always have to trim them after anyways, so I just skip the first step.

I trim anything like that after I install. On something like a camaro I will trim a small cut to mark where it will be....makes alignment easier.

I had the pleasure of tinting an old prelude with the wraparound window for my first job today. By the time you get the film inside youd be way off with the pre-cutting. Three tabs on the glass. Sometimes you just have to roll with the punches. Especially with a turd like that. Good times.

I told my friend with the shop that he just witnessed a miracle considering the condition of the glass.

the more you do of the same car the more you are familiar with how it is gonna line up on the inside... most of the cars that i have done before i trim them on the outside and they line up fine, worse case you trim a little on the inside .... just always turns out cleaner if you can trim it on the outside
