If your implying that your new tinter already has some comebacks then you need to check his work and if it's not exceptable to your standards then you might want to think of your reputation first and let him go!!!!

a crappy tinter can ruin your shop name for a long time. get a new one.

I can count on both hands the number of comebacks I have had in 10 years.....but I am the only one that has tinted too....

I echo to CHECK the work. If the guy is not producing good work then maybe you can help him....if not then get rid of him.

Those comebacks are just as much Your responsibility as they are Your tinters. If You ain't hanging the tint You BEST be sure to check the work before it rolls out of Your shop. twocents.gif

I would have to agree, you need to be the QC quality control, check it thoroughly. I cant really say a "good" number of comebacks to have... I guess it depends if they are coming back to complain of "bubbles(water pockets)" or crap work... If its remotely crap work then get rid of him soon, because you only have 90 days before there are consequences to firing someone.

As far as approaching him about it... You have to be straight up with him and tell him that %&$# don't fly around here, do a better job or he will have to find somewhere else to work.

Can't let bad work leave the shop. If you have to go behind him and check his work, thats what you have to do tell he gets better or let him go. One bad job will spread like wildfire.

Maybe also the person doesn't understand what you need out of the shop.. I think talking to the person and telling them this is what you accept out. they either would shoot for that or need pointers... I know I am not claiming to not need help.. We all do..

Check your work B4 the car leaves the shop , the only comeback you get is the same happy customer with a different car orngbiggrin.gif

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
