on the 2010 tc's back window ,do you tint just up to the thick black lines on the upper part of the hatch or do you tint over the whole back glass covering the thick black lines?

do I need to scuff the black lines or do I need to use glue? I've never tinted a scion before. Thanks alot for all of the input

They normaly lay down fine for us with no special prep...
