Ok, how many days until the film is dry enough to bond with glass sufficiently to pick-up with 8" cup.
5Mil Exterior Silver 20% on 4.0 x 4.0 3/16 I.G. Units weigh 78 pounds (estimated).
We plan to dry two days in sun at 70 degrees plus, and another one to two days indoors.
We have already checked to see that the cups will adhere to the filmed surface using another heavy window.
Oh yeah, 2nd floor install but thankfully in a safe commercial area not over a sidewalk.

Unfortunately the longer the better. Not that the film or cup will let go but the suction from the cup will leave a ring indenture in the film/adhesive that will not go away. I have cupped a glass with film a week later and still got the circle mark in the film.

thanks cthru I never thought of that, but it figures as we've all seen the ghost impression of a suction cup revealed when we spray our slip solution on a window that had been installed with a cup.
I redid one window @ 24 hours due to contamination, and it seemed adequately stuck, but the softness of the uncured adhesive is a whole nuther ballgame.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
