(blade @ Nov 3 2009, 05:41 PM) [*]726886[/*] thank you GENERAL.....SIR!!
Blade, is the pattern visable both sides?
it sure is
living on black creek i was ask to make this....here at rollin sound jax florida
this is platniumplus 35% and 20%..of course the black is atr 15%..... ![]() notice the black on the letters are inlayed, so there is no air gap!
Carbon 18 on the front, Carbon 5 on the back, + Clay bar and detail
(Tint Wife @ Nov 3 2009, 07:54 PM) [*]726889[/*] Blade, is the pattern visable both sides? what film was the actual uesd "blade"? can you post a pic from the outside view? its gotta be on a 1500, just not sure about reg or x-cab, maybe even crew cab? im sure it looks better with a silver 3d look, that you get with a negative................. im impressed (blade @ Nov 5 2009, 01:19 AM) [*]727003[/*] it sure is So it's weeded? On first glance I thought it was printed but looking closer there does appear to be some dimension to it. Intricate, time consuming work for weeding (Jeff Rutherford Jax fl. @ Nov 4 2009, 02:45 PM) [*]727076[/*] what film was the actual uesd "blade"? the flame is ATR15 with the tribal design removed from it. then executive series 21 was installed over the flame with a slight border around it. then greystone 30 was installed on the entire door.
this is about the best picture i have of it from the outside. the lighting just wasn't working well for me that time of day.
![]() personally i think it looks too busy ![]() The 115mph red headed beast (blade @ Nov 5 2009, 11:04 AM) [*]727118[/*] this is about the best picture i have of it from the outside. the lighting just wasn't working well for me that time of day. ![]() personally i think it looks too busy I have to agree, too busy for me but I can appreciate the time and effort involved. OK I wasn't going to ask but I just have to, what's up with the bottom you have a straight edge but it doesn't line up with your gasket line, almost like having a light gap, did it slip or do you lay your pieces together before you apply them to glass?
It's an obstical d illusion
(Tint Wife @ Nov 4 2009, 05:15 PM) [*]727125[/*] OK I wasn't going to ask but I just have to, what's up with the bottom you have a straight edge but it doesn't line up with your gasket line, almost like having a light gap, did it slip or do you lay your pieces together before you apply them to glass? good eye...yep that's my screw up (blade @ Nov 5 2009, 11:24 AM) [*]727128[/*] hey atleast it was a consistent screw up on each side. That makes it OK then (blade @ Nov 4 2009, 07:04 PM) [*]727118[/*] this is about the best picture i have of it from the outside. the lighting just wasn't working well for me that time of day. ![]() personally i think it looks too busy too bust....this is always easy to solve....would think by makeing the inside tribals bigger, is what i would think...this is my favorite type of technique...if you could zoom in on the pic you would see the rounded edges of the johnson...the air gap will always make it look 3d...unlike positive image graphics...a bigg thumbs up the johnson was computercut also? or did you just hand cut it...hand cutting would of been the way i would of done it.....
i agree that hand-cutting would have been the better way to go in this situation. but i was lazy and as we know....cutting it with the plotter is quicker.
(blade @ Nov 5 2009, 10:31 AM) [*]727216[/*] i agree that hand-cutting would have been the better way to go in this situation. but i was lazy and as we know....cutting it with the plotter is quicker. it still looks good...better than ive seen you do yet...thats with a plotter, since i know you have much better hand cut out there... that johnson is the coolest ive seen! when it gets hit by fluorescent light it look as a oil slick...thats why i like using it on graphics...
did this for the owner of skin candy ink for his g55 benz
its dmc 5% and flo pink and flo green tint with a 1ml clear over all of it
all handcut took forever
[/img]
(killertint @ Nov 5 2009, 03:33 PM) [*]727320[/*] all handcut took forever [/img]Very cooool!!!! (killertint @ Nov 5 2009, 02:33 PM) [*]727320[/*] all handcut took forever [/img]That is a great looking piece of work, very nice
