Dealerships and invoices

i have managed to get into a dealership to do a few cars for them next week. how long do you guys give them to pay....7,14, 30 days?

my old boss would often be waiting upto 90 days for some to pay so i don't want to give them to much time. all i need to do now is get me gear together

30 days normally, certain import centres you have to wait 90 days for a cheque.

my dealers sign a form agreeing to my terms ahead of time, and they know that I expect a check in my hand within 14 days of tinting the car. One of them gives me a check at the end of service, when they sign off on the invoice, and another one has the check waiting for me the next week when I come to do another couple cars.

Do what ever you can to get in with the accounts dept.

I have been selling in to car dealerships for years and those customers where you know the accounts dept well will always put you at the top of the payment pile.

You managed to get into a dealership with nothing in writing? Before you touch a car, get your payment terms in writing. Fat chance with most getting 7 or 14. 30 is most typical.

what dealer is it i may know what terms they have

...just get the payment when you complete the job

If it's any help i have 5 differant dealerships 2,are end of month following 1, 14 days , 2, 3weeks.

Chip diddy chip how would you know what terms the dealers have in Honiton, Devon as your in Leeds??? Or are you???......jurys still out on that
