huper ceramic 30

i got my hands a sample roll huper optik was nice enough to send so i can test out on a back window.
rep told me it was a specific way to shrink, i cant remember and i honestly dont want to bother him
rather ask the pro's on here who have experience with this film. the film is sitting there for the past
month or so i havent had time to try it out....any info appreciated

When I was using it we used wax with a horizontal anchor only, low heat, and a lot of time. Too much heat will "ghost" the film.

They suggest a 'drop shrink' method where you blow a hot air bubble under the film and then start to shrink it....

contact your rep... they have a video they can set you up with....

Don't know if you have already tried it out but I will tell you how I do it. I do probably two to three cars a week with ceramic 30. If the curve is too great then you can just forget about it doing it in one piece, if you do get it to lay down then it will be ghost. It it will lay down on moderately curved back glasses which encompasses most of the cars on the road. I use wax and a horizontal anchor, no H, you gotta be able to move the film around as much as possible. I shrink a corner until it gets warm then move to the next through all four corners, never letting them or the glass get near hot. Then I move back to the first corner and repeat until it is shrunk. If the film or the glass is getting hot then I just stop and start cutting out the sides and come back once it is cool again. This process takes a while but profit margins are much higher for the film and I pay the installer extra so it is worth his/her time to spend doing it right. Customers love this film and once they get one car done they bring me every other car they have and any car they purchase there after.
