Full Version: Make the tinting law more clear, please!!
I don't mind a 35% LT law on cars (not trucks or SUV windows behind the driver) so driver and police are safe. Sounds reasonable to me. But the law in Oregon states you can only use 50% film and the total LT must be 35%
Politicians, lawyers, Make sense? Common sense?
so put on a couple layers of 50% until the VLT is reasonable??
(batint @ Feb 20 2004, 09:21 PM) Please, Oregon, make this part of the law more clear! They'll only listen to registered voters from the State they represent... call or write your concerns to your district reperesentative. Then again... when did the politicians ever listen to a commoner with no hand out... You could always look to your supplier for a 40 VLT film.
I have seen DMV personel move a tint meter around a window to find a spot where a 40% film would fail 35% net vlt test. Not much you can do then.
Here they insist all meters are acurate to 1/10 of a percnt, even tho the meter says right on the front +- 3%. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Don't know about there, but here, the DMV only hires people who can barely speak english. These folk think the government is the greatest thing since sliced bread, and to them it is.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
