I tinted a lexus is300 the other day and the rear window defrost lines seem to be a problem. They bubble on the defrost lines. I see that some lexus rear windows have thick defrost lines.. can neone help me or have any secrets of doing these

Use a thinner film. No problemo.

Those defrost lines are very thick so you need to make sure you don't overheat the film while you are shrinking it. You also need to spread the fingers evenly so you don't have to concentrate on any one area more than the other. It is best to dry shrink the film instead of wet.
Another suggestion is to use a film which has a more aggressive adhesive.

Talk about thick film and light adhesive.. try putting Huper Optik Ceramic 40 on the back of any Lexus, much less the IS.. Yeah the defrost are thick and the film doesnt shrink real easy.. I've spent 20 minutes shrinking and installing the film, and 20 more trying to heat and press on fingers on the defroster lines!! We quit putting 40 on any of the cars because it because too much hassle, and we couldnt really guaruntee it wouldnt lift off sometime in the near future.

OT and Blade are right

I used to use LULU and had lots of problems with IS and LS Lexus now using Bekart and it lays down no problem thumb.gif

If you dont have the film option try lifting the film off the glass and on low heat lightly heat the film in the problem areas ( the four corners ). Thats the only thing that seemed to help

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
