Full Version: SUBARU WRX!!!
One of the easier cars to tint. The roll up windows are frameless and all you need to do is either tuck down the seal or remove the door panel. If you are good like some of the tinter's here, you can slip the film between the glass and seal without getting contamination.
without a doubt ...one of the easiest cars Ive done
Its a piece of cake. The only problem you will have is finding somthing to do for the rest of the 7 hours you will have left till closing.
Piece of cake and the door panels can be removed if required within a couple of minutes.

Your help would be much appreciated.
Just keep practising
try wetshrinking that mofo, make sure you squeege the sides and let the fingers come up from top and bottom, that heat shrinking. good luck!
what are u using on yoru dry? powwer dryersheets, soap?
just take your time, you will get it
soap soap soap...the only way to go....
With all current 05 WRX sedans, I've found it far easier to shrink top and bottom but not too much in the top corners otherwise an air pocket will occur on the demister line about an inch down and an inch in.
Then on the vertical sides, try and not again overdo the gun bit and just carefully relief cut in the centre about 2.5 inches in on each side. This gets rid of the huge finger and sits down lovely without any dramas. DWBA. i tinted a wrx wagon . i thought it wasnt too bad. the only f*** up i had was when i went to close the door and the tint peeled back coz of the rubber.. DOH !!
I'd tint wrx's all day long if i could. I've probally tinted close to 50 of them since i had 2 (an sti and a wrx wagon)...all the others in the area knew and brought them to me. Hands down one of the easiest cars out there to tint. 30 minutes tops for me by now with those candies!
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. © 1999 - 2009 Ric Wellman All Rights Reserved. Contact: tintdude[a]gmail.com | |||
