Skylines

I was wondering if these cars are even legal in the states? I'm not too... educated on cars. But, my boyfriend has wanted one of these foreeeevver. He said he thinks that you can have them imported and have stuff done to make it pass American standards. Is this true? Is it legal to drive with the steering wheel on the right side of your vehicle? I was just curious.
These cars are pretty @#$% badass, and my boyfriend is serious about getting one if possible. That'd be pretty cool.
Thanks.

Is there a US Nissan similar to the Skyline, minus the right-hand drive? Just curious. Or is it a European thing?

I dont know if anyone else is up on things. But Skylines have been available in So. Cal. through an independent importer/dealer for over a year (US DOT legal). So no you cant get one yourself and legalize it cost efficiently. You have to buy one for a JACKED up price from that place in so cal. and then hope you get what you pay for. the stories have not been good from unhappy customers. Wouldnt you hate to pay $65000 for a used car from 1995 and have it throw a rod (or three) two weeks later?... oh especially after waiting over 9 months to get it after its paid for? theres your answer
