I'm sure I'll have a disagreement here...but It's just an opinion that these "schools" are designed to make money for the institute/instructor based on the idea that they are usually only a week long tops. You end up with the knowledge exposure, but not enough practical...there are too many "exceptions to the rule" in this business tinting 5 different cars doesn't mean you can handle any car

**You can not produce total customer -happy results in 1 week training**

The best way is hands on being thrown in the trenches at a shop for I would say a minimun of a month but more realistically 6month -1yr

TW is exactly right.

if you start working this guy right out of school, you will have A LOT of unhappy customers. inot.gif trust.gif

Proof of this is DixieGraphics..she took the course...frustrated her...no one does tinting in her town...wish she had the opportunity to get more "hands on" B4 throwing in the towel to take advantage of her town's lack of tinter.

TW...

CPF's 4-day school is exactly as you have described... an introduction only... it (and I) in no way guarantees a qualified tinter at the end of the week. In fact we find it important to stress they do not do tint for the general public until their skills and installs are acceptable to them as if they were the paying customer.

There are schools (and instructors) out there that blow smoke... we don't. Our class is the basics only, enough to make that decision as to whether one wants to proceed. Experience can never be taught... it can only be acquired through repetious practice of basic skills taught them through another experienced person.

CPF does not make money on classes... break even maybe, but they do not profit from them. They make their money from the hope that the attendee will purchase CPF products after attending the class.

Good to see you again Leo. Where have you been?

That post was from early March. I think we'll all know when Leo is back, he's not the type to sneak in and post once. Flaugh.gif

now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
