Why does this film type have to be pressure sensitive from all manufacturers? It sure is interesting fitting this up on your own.
CDF would make life far easier IMO.

Full Version: White translucent question.
Got me thinking about this product today whilst fitting up a huge 4' X 14' single sheet of film to one piece of glass.

this material is used in a lot of graphics applications, dry adhesive would make
it impossible to lay down something intricate.
Point taken but graphics came long after its original use for just making glass private.
Must be some manufacturing reason? Devil
sl*t, there have been several times i've installed graphics in pretty intricate designs with a dry adhesive. Yes it is much more of a pain in the azz, but I think we should have the option of adhesives on this film like we do with other films.
I know how ya feel Devil. Recently did a commercial job. The windows were 98" x 110." 8 of them. Seamed, of course, 2 pieces horizontally. Pain in the azz. Would have been so much nicer with a dry adhesive.
Spot on Blade.
In sheets of that size, you only require a tiny area that is a little dryish and you can't move that stuff. What can also occur is a part of the glass that won't take water....as if some sort of surface tension pervades and repels slippage. That makes it interesting too. CDF floats it over everything and less likely to crease the film. Devil (Devil with bad attitude @ May 8 2004, 04:53 PM) Spot on Blade. Is that some downunder slang for, "right on" or something.
