How are these anything I need to look out for?

TD

From what I hear, they are a very easy car to tint. Please let us know how it goes.

pierce8468

just did one about a month ago . nothing to worry about . pretty easy

CloudWalker

Good to hear think I'll charge it about $140 cause its new

pierce8468

charge more than that is a suv

Zrok

OT thinks i'm a lowballer and i'd charge 170, it's an SUV.....i charge 140 for a 4 door car (most of them) and 120 for a 2 door car (most of them) just because it's easy doesn't mean you can't get PAID....should we charge less for a 95 dodge neon 4 door just 'cuz we know it's easy HELL NO....thats our little secret. so with the extra loot, buy more beer.

TintWizard

yeah Zro..customer doesn't realize when he comes to me with an older Neon, if he said I want $20-30 knocked off or he's walking, I'd probably make him the ONLY acception to the rule , my ultimate fav. car to tint! It's like money falling from the sky, God saying"here you Brad"...this is for the unappreciated crap you put up with for your lastcar and customer"

pierce8468

my theory is take the good with the bad. but as far as the customer that wants 20 knoced off . id tell him to walk my customers done make my prices i do

Zrok

right dude....i also really enjoy doing the 97 style contours, really easy b/w...easy doors....then there's the '97 4 door stratus....i think these are my fav/s...along with the 94 accord 4 door only....you know the one...back glass and 4 doors..no quarter windows....i think these cars are just cake city...i almost feel bad pulling them out after 45 minutes....sometimes i'll go take a potty break, and smoke a cigarette so the customer thinks they're gettin something for their money LMFAO

TintWizard

I agree with ya peirce, I'm pretty hard -nosed that way ..i was just expressing my joy of tinting that particular car...it's not like even working LOL

pierce8468

if i could do them all day id be ahappy tinter. cuz id still charge 165

TintWizard

yeah, those and 90's doge ram trucks all day , everyday..then everybody would be a tinter , no room for skill ! LOL

I would say a resounding YES! I have had my car for 1 month and the windshield cracked. If I were to work on one, I would be aware of the service bulletin (03-028) that honda has out that states that the window is under pressure that will cause it to crack. My window cracked, but it was after a tiny, tiny pebble hit it, and honda says this is "normal, acceptable and expectable". If I were to work on one of these tinting any of the windows (heh.... probably dont fully tint too many windshields) I would be EXTRA cautious. If you see customers with cracked windows, steer them to my site. http://www.elementscrack.com.

Thanks Rob, it is a shame that these things have to get so far that people have to make sites about design flaws.
