Ignition Dinging

I know everyone has their own way to stop the noise when the driver's door is open. usually you can trick the door latch. i'm doing a 01 M5 BMW. it has a button that is surrounded by plastic. i cut off a piece of scrub pad and lodged it in the hole. dinging is gone. i know you can turn the key another notch and it will soon stop. this way saves the power on the car.

it has got so bad ...that after all these years of dinging I dream about cars dinging when the alarm clock goes off and don't wake up the alarm on the phone works every time though

I did a mercedes 2 door and I used my side swiper to trip the button, 44tools has some various spring loaded devices for some of the older cars, a car dinging on the other side of a bay will bother me.....can you say mp3 player?

I just hook up the trickle charger the second they come in.

I roll down the driver's side window, put the car on ACC, shut the door. Then I tint the other doors in silence. When it comes time to do the driver's door I turn it to ON.

(I put it on the charger because it usually takes me 3 to 4 hours to do a car).
