Matching Film with Rear Factory Privacy GlassHome | Forum | Lo-Fi Version | Site Map
Intermountain Can someone please help me with some feed-back on color tint matching for rear privacy windows. what film have you had the most success at matching the The front Windows. best film I ever used was the film that Digi-Tint supplied but I'm not sure who manufacters it, I thought it was Sun Gard but the film they sold me wasnt Close. Please " Any suggestions on film types manufactors anything". Thanks Thers plenty of stuff out that matches pretty well, depends on what manufacturer you use, but they'll likely have something. I heard digi used sungard before, dunno. I use llumar and we use ATR 35 charcoal on the fronts because thats whats legal, color matches fine, the 20% is almost a dead ringer, this film is a lifetime film, also the llumar AT charcoal matches but its just a dyed film and will turn crudty looking quickly. fo the ATR charcoal is what we use try holding up some tints for the customer to see first, if they give it the ok then everything is fine, the global hp 20 seems to match the domestics very well. If your using sun gard, use the slate preformance. It matches GM, and most other manufacters tint. my sales guy from sun gard told me to use Desert Smoke for best match but it really isnt close i use onyx 20% and it's almost always a dead ringer. just my .02 I have had good luck with SolarGard HP13 or Hp22 Digi is selling whoever they have on hand at the time. So much for the "you have to use our film" :bs I have used SG True Grey 18 and SG HP Charcoal 13 Like suggested - ask for samples from everybody and match 'em up Charcoal 20 Have you heard that the At film now has a lifetime warranty on color change it even states it on the warranty card. i think i will stick with the atr film is it still legit to give tips if im not a tinter no mo? lol That is all I use also. I thought it was interesting that they can offer that. I like the stealth for the older ford match. I switch from Madico awhile back and I am loveing it.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:
