When you come across a car that is older , or has a lot i fuzz you can do one of two things to prevent the fuzz from contaminating the window..
1.You can Tape it off, close the glass.
or
2. You can use your Heat gun.
the use of heat to " remove" the fuzz is a little tricky.
a. Dont use high heat..
a gentle quick pass and the fuzz will be gone.
b. BE VERY CAREFUL to not touch anything inside the car
... the gun is hot! as if you didnt know that.
you can melt the interior of a car with out any trouble
so dont do that
c. this works.

Dern...
All looks and nothing to say?
I'll be glad to jump this one.
I saw this tip in Film (rag) Magazine a couple years ago and wrote an email to the editor saying, "Great idea to publish something that the comsumer may by chance run across in reading whatever is laying on the waiting table at the tint shop and have concern as to whether or not that is what is being done to their car out back while waiting and reading."
Yes it tames the stray, and stationary, fibers... but I personally do not and would not do anything to a customer's car that will change the condition it was in when it was given to me, save tinting the windows.
This tip accelerates the degradation process of the felt, sending it into premature decay and demise.

You want the truth ? YOU WANT THE TRUTH ?!?!
YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!
I BURNED YOUR FELT GASKET'S BUT YOUR CAR LOOKS GREAT !!!
All humor aside I guess it's a personal choice Metint4u.
I trim rubber gaskets on older vehicles so I can overcut the tint and hide any gaps.
Am I altering the original condition of the vehicle? Absolutely.
For the better? I think so.
To each his own.
I think why there's so many looks on this one is possibly because as far as I knew this trick is as old as heatshrinking itself..or maybe only in my neck of the woods dunno.gif But for what it's worth for the sake of a posting, I done this for yrs and it works great..I have my gun on high, pass a couple of times and away I go..I only use it on certain carsfor example, 95 Cavaliers' Sunfire 's and up, I take out the deck..it's only 3 min. 94 and older, I use the heat on the felt. Malibu's it's good on, grand Am's etc.
In keeping the car the same, instead of passing the heat gun across, how about just using some masking tape to tape up the back deck of the older junkers?? That's what i do if they're really bad dunno.gif been reluctant to 'fry' any carpet or felt in a customer's car, with my luck they'd notice.
