Pop Out Windows

For older caravans or older honda civics, etc with pop out windows, I find that the perfect thing for me is to use a tennis ball as the wedge. If you add a little heat from your heatgun for the first time using them, you burn away all the fuzzies leaving it lint free. They have the perfect "give" when squeqeeing and don't fall out of thier "wedge" position nearly as much as a rolled up towel or anything without a "bounce " to it. It has worked for me for years anyway.

That sounds like a great idea for BG wipers that don't swing up too. It's annoying trying to shrink around a wiper that keeps falling on your work.

Actually, what I use for back wiper glass is a piece of automotive rubber hose that is about 1 and a half inch X 1 inch in diameter. It's tough enough to nicely wedge in the wiper, tough enough not to collapse onto itself, and small enough that it's not in the way when shrinking or cutting film.

On caravans I use a squeegee scrap ( Yellow smoothee ). It is like a triangle and you can't use it for anything else. I wedge it in the groove, I just want the window off of the glass so dirt gets on it. Once I got the film tacked down I grab hold of the window and nail it down.

Tip: On those buttons you remove. Heat them up first, use the right screwdriver, # 2 and twist hard and fast. When cleaning them, pull a towel through it to pull the dirt around it out.
