Quarter Windows

Working on a car that doesn't have the nice black ceramic border on the quarter windows? After you clean the glass, don't wet the window to apply the film, only spray the film. I think some of the crud that may be in the rubber and what not rinses back down onto your clean glass if you do spray it. I do this even if it does have a black border, spotless everytime.
