Maybe some of you do this already, but I've never been in another shop and seen it done before. We all have white walls i'm sure and when we hang our sample windows up for the customers to look at, we always have to tell them "It will be darker on your car because your looking through to a white wall." That makes it a little hard for them to make their decision, especialy if you have no cars outside or in the shop to use as an example. Well what I did to give my sample glass a more true darkness to what it would look like on a car was I put a medium gray towel behind it. It darkened up the samples and gave it a lot closer appearance of a finished job. It obviously wasn't the perfect likeness, but it was a lot closer than just having the white wall as my backround. It worked great for me, hope this helps.

I have a large window of our office done with various shades, in the shape of sun's rays, so they are right next to one another. Our office is fairly dark with panelled walls. I tell the customer to stand inside and look out to see what it will look like from the inside of the car, and to stand outside and look in to see what it will look like from the outside of the car. It has worked well so far.
