  1. Teflon tape? What do you use

    Panty hoes.....not a Hoes Panties!
  2. Best heat gun

I dry shrink only, but only sell and install ceramic films.
  3. Best heat gun

I ordered a new Makita from Amazon the other day and got it and shrunk two or three cars with it and decided it was a piece of shit. Doesn't even compare to my Wagner Furno 750 heat gun. The Makita moves more air but at Max high setting it claims 1050°. Our ceramic film I set it my Furno at 950° and it shrinks awesome. The Makita at Max setting isn't hot enough to shrink the film.
  4. Best heat gun

Ordered a new Makita heat gun...on the way

  8. I'm currently using ComputerCut for our PPF patterns. Who's pattern database has full fenders, full hoods and maybe even full rear bumper patterns? We had a 2017 BMW 750i come in from body shop that needed the rear entire bumper redone after paint work and it was a computer cut pattern from somewhere. I'd like to expand to a better database.
  9. Plotter question

ours was drifting and replaced the rubber roller wheels and problem fixed. after 8-10 years they get hard and worn and cause drifting.
  10. Graphtec 64 " F8600 Plotter for Sale

sent you an email on your plotter.
  11. Suntek or solargard?

We've been installing Solargards HP Supreme line since it came out somewhere back around 2006. We have cars that come back in that we did 8 years ago where a customer scratched a window and the old film still matches the new film. And that's here in South Florida. Best long lasting film we have carried. We get alot of HP Charcoal warranties coming in from other dealers so stay away from that.
  12. IR film Vs Ceramic?

Sorry, Autobahn is owned by HuperOptik USA. Sorry I didn't make that clear!
  13. IR film Vs Ceramic?

I never even mentioned ATC in my post. Autobahn is owned by Huper USA but hired an outside company to do the layout. Same company that did Llumar and is now doing SolarGards restructure. DynaPear.. .how come your not an Autobahn dealer anymore?
  14. IR film Vs Ceramic?

It doesn't have to be a Ceramic to block heat. For example, Huper Optik Performa is a Spectral Filtering Technology film that outperforms Llumar CTX Ceramic at several VLT's. 3M Crystalline outperforms all of the Ceramics and it is a Multi-Layer Optical Technology film. It is just the technology they use in Wincos which is not specifically stated on their website. I checked Lintec's website (maker of Wincos from Japan), they do not specifically state a technology either. Psssst.....Don't tell anybody, but.... I am a Huper Optik dealer....and I hate to burst your bubble but Autobahn Performa film IS reboxed Llumar CTX Ceramic film. Just like Xtreme is Llumar as well....and why it fades to clear in 3-4 years. Eastman Chemical owns Huper, Llumar and a few others.
  15. Is signal interference still an issue?

For 10 years we have been installing SolarGard HP Supreme on every single dealer car we do for Lexus, BMW, Lincoln and Toyota and never had a complaint. I have found lately from customers that they are told by other installers to not use metal films only because they have only a few years experience and can't cleanly install metal films so they tell them to stay away.
