  1. Not the case currently for Digital Designs.
  2. You might find slight differences in practice from one distributor to the next, but as a whole, yeah, you will probably need to have some sort of film relationship with your distributor if you were going to expect any level of long term software support. I honestly couldn’t tell you what to expect in Australia.
  3. 3M currently provides access to Digital Designs on a no cost basis for approved installers. In the US market, they do not financially penalize installers for using competitive paint protection film. There are certainly significant costs to building and maintaining a good pattern database, and as such, 3M would certainly like an installer to provide 3M PPF as part of their product offering to the end customer. Please download the software and take it for a test drive yourself. Be sure to register an account for pattern access. http://patterns.3m.com
  4. Been getting positive feedback on 3M Digital Designs as of late. If you're looking for a no-charge software option, this might be a good one. http://aerotectfilms.com/The_3M_Difference.pdf You'll need to contact your 3M PPF distributor for the download instructions. Happy to point you to the right contact. And of course, samples of 3M Pro Series are available: https://engage.3m.com/ppf/
  5. Apologies, Evan. Not sure why I had it in my head that this was Kris' account. Cheers! Wrong person. You are thinking about Kris from CFT films. This is his old partner Evan from Pacific Auto Films.
  6. Kris, Looks like your last experience with Pro Series was most likely an older version. Those adhesive sensitivities are a thing of the past. If you're in the area, feel free to drop in and check out the latest version.
  7. Hi Dr, Feel free to give our office a call at 909-596-0053. We are the California Distributor for 3M and have all 4 brands of 3M PPF in stock.
  8. Hi Grady, I represent the California distribution center for 3M, and for a little added assurance, he is correct. 3M Scotchgard Paint Protection Film Pro Series currently does not feature a logo on the release liner. Feel free to message me or give me a call with any questions.
  9. Yep, the darker gloss colors are always going to be more susceptible to scratching during instalation, as well as from every day wear and tear. As Supreme mentioned, Sunlight may help improve some of them. More direct heat sources might help with deeper scratches (Think: hair dryer, heat gun, torch). Keep in mind, while a vinyl installation should look good, there should be a little visual tolerance for things up close.
  10. This one is pretty good. Keep in mind, there is muuuccchhh more than vinyl wraps at shows like this, but you will find what you're looking for: https://thenbmshow.com/
  11. Understood. I wouldn't recommend purchasing 76 of them. Much easier to get one display, and chain a swatch deck to the stand offs. Swatch decks can easily be updated with new colors.
  12. So, here they are: www.autofilmdisplays.com
  13. @ Yoda, we are dangerously close to finally launching all the info on these. Hang tight.
  14. We were doing these for a while... but the latest launch of colors put us at 76 individual swatch colors. Not to mention, when a color is discontinued, or a manufacturer adds more, your display then becomes obsolete. We're currently working on changing our available displays and I know our wall mounted displays will be easy enough to attach a swatch book to. Here's a sneak peak for the 1080 line: The hood is wrapped in a base color and then an accent color. Hope to have them available as early as next week. edit: having trouble posting them as an image, but you can view them here: http://www.aerotect.net/images/1080WallPicture_front_500 http://www.aerotect.net/images/1080WallPicture_side_500
  15. Hi all, yes, Digital Designs is currently down. Last week 3M underwent a company wide security update on their servers, and as such different divisions were affected in different ways. Things are actively being worked on, and 3M has solutions to make sure all of their customers are able to cut patterns. Please contact your distributor for more information.
