New hybrid. Front doors are a breeze one screw under rubber in arm rest, pops right off. Back doors same deal to get the panel off. However the sweep is attached to a privacy screen, you need to remove the screen. Its attached to the quarter window screen also. Pop the front cover off the quarter window screen its three red clips. There are two silver screws behind that you need to remove. Once the panel is pulled there are four more silver screws along the bottom of the screen that need to be removed, then the whole thing comes off as one unit. After that its just another Acura. BG is flat, has a moulded third brake light, buy easy to get your dozzer or whatever you use …

Tint has a very tough time to adhere to dot matrix on top and bottom of windshield, it's not that large of an area, so I didn't really think too much of it (unlike rear windows on the older Sentras, Mustangs, Integras which have extra large dot matrix areas that need to be cut around most of the time). Recently had 2 different windshields and had to do them each twice. For the first one, I cleaned and scraped the dot matrix with a razor (which usually is enough) it was falling off the glass and just would not stick AT ALL. Took it off and re-tinted but cutting around the dot matrix and it stayed down very well. For second one, I razored the dot matrix, used 800 grit sa…

Came across an ILX the other day and the door panels are not like youre typical honda / acura. They redesigned the plate in front of the interior handle with a pressure clip opposed to the tabs that used to slide in place. The rubber insert that is in the handle on the interior, isn't a seperate piece and does not remove as easy. If you pop up the window switch plate, there isnt anything behind it. It seems like you have to remove the arm rest piece to take out the new handle insert that is a curved plastic. I didn't want to break anything so I stopped when I was ahead and just top hung the car. If anyone has any advice on this car dealing with the panels, I would like t…

Hello everyone. I had my windows tinted by a friend of a friend that works for a 3M shop last year or so and have had scratches on my windows since the week after I got them put on (front and rear windows). To make a long story short, I called the guy (since the tint is lifetime warranty) and he said he would replace them without a problem. But after having gone through this once, I am really discouraged to take it back to him and have it done a 2nd time. I have been reading some of the info on this thread and understand that Moleskin is not needed to prevent the scratches. The guy that did my windows also, did not tuck the back quarter windows (so you can see the tr…

remove upper trim (pic shows on the bottom) under trim is one nut and the plug for the brake and the water sprayer, there is also a screw and a bolt on either side...total count of five..all are a 10mm the wing is still held on by four pressure clips that are seen in the picture and are white and have black square pads around the clips.. hope this helps..i noticed this car is not on computercut yet and im mailing the patterns off and they should be up next week...as far as the wing removal it should be a must for people that hand cut. there is no room to fit a knife, so removal is a must... pic of the 2011 Acura TSX wagon with 30% on the front and 15% threw out …

I have a customer from two weeks ago who is complaining about a “halo” like affect or reflection when looking out his side windows (doors only, not the back glass). He said it’s most noticeable around the lights of approaching vehicles when it’s dark out. I had him bring the vehicle in for me to inspect just to make sure the film was completely dry. I also called my supplier to see if they have had any complaints of “bad” film. Yes it was and no they haven't. The car was tinted with 18% SunTek Carbon. All glass was cut from same roll of film. Has anyone had a similar complainant for this vehicle or any other ? This guy is a good customer and I really what to make …

i have two different customers with the same car late model Acura tl. both customers need the rear window stripped and redone. one customer is just unhappy with the work from a "99$" tint shop and now wants to come to me the other one is a car i did a year ago and the customer damaged it... Upon speaking with this new custy it appears he had done some calling around and 2 other shops and a dealership told him that they would not touch the window till next summer. something to do with the film damaging the defroster??? this i have never heard but the customer insists that this is a issue particular to the TL. does anyone have any input on this i sure would like to inform…

So i tinted my moms car today. I had to remove the old tint, what a PITA. At first i was gonna cut around the 3rd brake light, then i decided not to. What i had to do was, remove the seats and the deck lid is held in there with 3 hokes, then the brake light comes out. The brake light has two 8mm nuts that you can take off in the trunk.

nice car....my custy wants ceramic film, 30 looked to light, so we did ATX 15, all his choice, and now he doesnt like it because it looks darker than the rear. Would you really get any interference with ATR on just the front two??

Hello, Im new tinting cars, but have been doing mobile electronics for 20 years so I decide to get into tint to help out with income. My problem is I did a 04 Acura TL a couple of weeks ago and I used felt on all of the doors. The tint job looked awsome. The customer came in the other day and said the right rear window was squeeking, so I looked at it and the window had pulled the felt down and got glue all over the window, Today he came back to scedule a time to fix it then he told me that the right front window is scratching. I checked the felt on it and it was good I don't understand what is happening. The customer is very cool, but this car a pain in my ***. when I cl…
