hey guys just a quick question, hope some one can help soon. I tried searching first with no luck. I have a 06 bmw 525xi can some one tell me if there are screws behind the wood trim panel or window switches. neither one of those feel like they wanna pop out. this wood trim panel runs at an angle on the door panel as part of the grab handle, not the horizontal trim. I popped all the plastic clips but it feels like something is holding it up top. thanks in advance.

08 X5

Have a custy that want's his 08 X5 tinted, but his has the real light tint on the back windows from factory. I've read a few films that people like and they say a 35% will match the closest. Has anyone tried any of EFW's films to match these windows? This is what I use and would be nice to stay with a tint I use. And I don't really want to turn the custy away since he's a returning custy, but I don't know what to use, and I know the TB won't be a good match for this car!

Anybody have any experiance w/ this car? Or tips on how to remove the panels? The dealer is bringing it down probably tuesday & i've never seen one before. Rear & 1/4's don't look like any threat, but BMW door panels haven't been that friendly to me lately. Looks stinkin sweet though!

I've been a sign/graphics person for some yrs now and always assumed applying tint was similar in nature to applying vinyl graphics such as wraps and so forth but never have had the opportunity to try ... til now. Have an '88 BMW 325is coupe as my 1st tint job, want to do it right - so need to pool tips, tricks, how-tos, recommendations, suggestions, etc. on the job - interior disassembly, application of tint, anything out of the ordinary to watch out for? Any help would be most appeciated Thanks in advance Steven

Absolute cakeness. Easiest money ever made. You do have to cut-out the windshiled tint for the RVM module then make a slit above it but other than that....

This can be done on most BMW models but not all. Some 5 and 7 series with window screens are not as simple. They may come out the same way but I've never taken those out. Grab the back of the door panel. Pull straight towards you. Grab rub strip and pull it up. Easy as that. Front is the same way.

Had a go at tinting one of these tonight, its beond my skill level to tint it with the rear deck in so its coming back to get rear deck removed to be finished off, My question is what does the large area on dot matrix at the top of the BG look like after tint has dryed if its not glue or any other dot matrix solution. I ask as i have never had any ask about dot matrix solutions so have never done anything with them. Send me some advice and photos to. Cheers Nik

Hi all UK tinter here, been reading the forums for a while now (very helpful) and regret my first post is a problem. I tinted a 2008 BMW 330 coupe about 4 weeks ago with SunTek Carbon 35, the customer called the next day to say that when he used his rear de-froster his radio reception cut out then returned when the defrost was turned off. I advised that the tint would hold water for a couple of weeks and could be causing electrical interfearance with the antenna which is also on the back glass. Customer has just called today to inform that the problem is still present after 4 weeks. I removed the rear deck for the install, glued the matrix at the top and kept the wat…

Hey fellas I tinted one of these today, really nice car. Took me 10 minutes to figure out you have to have your foot on the brake to start it and I couldn't figure out how to put it in gear lol, funky shifter. But The back window was pretty easy didn't take much heat, the 1/4 windows are cake and the rear roll downs arent bad. The front ones took the most time. I don't like pulling panels on any car, especially foriegn cars so I taped the side seals and slid behind and that wasnt bad, then slid behind the bottom sweep. Overall not bad to do just take your time on tucking the film! This one I installed 35% Suntek HP, sorry for the bad picture but he was waiting as I pulled…

First off, let me start by saying that Im pretty fresh to the whole window tinting scene. I have a guy wanting his BMW tinted. I've read around on here about them and have seen some mixed opinions on these cars. I haven't seen these cars close up yet so I dont know anything about the windows. Will the side windows need shrunk? is there a dot matrix all the way around the side front windows? will I HAVE to pull the door seal off? is the back window glass? Yes I am a noob for the most part. I've tinted some very basic vehicles so far so I just want to make sure i'm not getting myself into something i can't handle by doing this car. is there a standard pricing guide anywhe…
