Tinting Fix-it cheats 1 2
by Guest Kleen- 16 replies
- 1.1k views
Hi Guys, Ok, so I got yet another fix-it ticket. I really dont have the money to pay to take it off, which is $100 plus another $200 to put it back on. To get out of the court date I would need to pay $506 which I certainly dont have. Does anyone have some sort of cheat to get by with? I take the car to shows and dont drive it too much in town since they seem to look for me. The car would just not look right to me without the tint. So I want to find the easiest/best way to just get out of this delema. Thanks for all your help! Kleen

Here is a new idea for alot of you guys and girls on here. open your minds a little bit I dont know how many times I have seen somebody post about something they just discovered only to be shot down right away before it has even been tried. 10 years ago I would have been laughed at if I said I am going to shrink this back glass with baby powder. Now it is a common practice for shrinking. I know I am not the greatest at explaining myself via internet, But all I am trying to say is this. Stop bieng so quick to rule out an idea you have never tried. Just because you cant see it working for what ever reason. Isnt that what this site is all about learning other tricks from …

Hey Just found this forum, pretty damn cool. Just had a question. Lets say you have 70% glass all around the vehicle. You put 20% all around. Obviously the rear windows will appear darker because of the less light entering the vehicle from the back but it is pretty much the same all around. Ok, next, layering another 20% on the rear windows brings it to AROUND 5%.. which I believe to be correct. Then layering a 35% over the front 20% brings it around 10%? or so? I am sure I will be corrected for my first paragraph, but where I am going with this is... I noticed its much harder to see than usual at night (I know its still a fresh layer, but still).. Would putting a sing…

This is unbelievable, they actually WANT a big terror event to help their poll numbers...un friggin real. This just makes poeple like me who know 9/11 was an inside job, that much angrier. ------------------------ GOP memo touts new terror attack as way to reverse party's decline By DOUG THOMPSON Publisher, Capitol Hill Blue Nov 10, 2005, 06:19 A confidential memo circulating among senior Republican leaders suggests that a new attack by terrorists on U.S. soil could reverse the sagging fortunes of President George W. A Board or Wall Mount Glass for peelboard
by Guest chip01- 3 replies

Which is the best to use in a shop environment. Do you need both. And what is the use of a wall mount glass if you cannot move it closer to the window you want to tint. I have seen other onces that are on wheels where the glass is horizontal, are these better because you can for rear windows the right way or just the same Thanks

Residue from a double tint.. 1 2

Hey, I had ad ouble tint on my rear glass, 20 %'s. I pulled off one layer of 20% within a day and a half or so. Came off ok,but at night when lights hit my rear glass I see it all foggy, so I am guessing that there is a lot of that stuff left over on the 1st layer of tint. My question is, whats the best way to remove that resiude FROM a tint.. (I was lookin around forums, saw stuff for removing from glass, but this is the stuff on the tint itself) Thanks

I had a customer called today to set up an appointment b/c she notices 2 small bubbles on the front and rear passenger windows. I have never had this happened before and don't know how to go about it. Will the film lay down if I apply a heat gun to the outside of the glass and push in down with a hardcard on the inside??? Anyone had this happened before?? I don't want to redo the film...... Thanks for inputs....

its almost worth skipping to the last one first. but here goes OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF CHILDREN.... These have to be original and genuine - no adult is this creative!! JACK (age 3) was watching his Mom breast-feeding his new baby sister. After a while he asked, "Mom why have you got two? Is one for hot and one for cold milk? MELANIE (age 5) asked her Granny how old she was. Granny replied she was so old she didn't remember any more. Melanie said, "If you don't remember you must look in the back of your p@nties. Mine say five to six." STEVEN (age 3) hugged and kissed his Mom goodnight. "I love you so much, that when you die I'm going to bury you outside my bedroom window…

Need Advice...

My local tint pro. carries Solar Gard HP and Quantum and SunTek Carbon. I'm looking for a tint job that's not exceptionally dark, but has the best possible heat rejection. I'm in TX and it's hot as hell here, and my AC seems to be fading as my vehicle ages despite charging. He's suggesting something like an HP 32/13 combo, a Carbon 35/18 combo, or Quantum 37 all the way around. I don't want my ride to look like a Limo though, and I don't know much about tint. Any advice as to how I should proceed? Any feedback on the above TINT? If there is another tint I should consider I could look into having the shop special order it for me. BTW, I'm tinting a black Rodeo.…

Well, like it says............I have an old collection of bondo spreaders......(yellow, whimpy, etc.) and I noticed one of 'em scratched up a quarter pretty good yesterday when I was fightin' a finger.......(didn't see the scratches 'til this morning in good light). When I searched cards & squeegees, I found a lot of color reference, but the only thing I found commong was the "blue max". (Do I dare start a Blue Max vs. Orange Crush thread?)......LOL!!!! So, when somebody says, "I start w/ a Red, then go Yellow, etc. etc..........are they talking the "Power STroke" squeegees I see on filmhandler.com??? Or are they talking about the hard cards???? And if so, whic…
