I am new to vehicle sign/paint protection film making(usually buy pre-cuts or custom install). I just got a used roland cx-300 and it seems to work fine. I am in the process of obtaining flexi pro 8. Will there be issues with them working together?

been using flexi for years but when I create a shape for example I want to cut some french panes so I create squares & it wants to cut them on the pull instead of rolling out first then cutting and when it does this the film just bunches up in the plotter. How do I change the order in which it cuts the points? Thanks!!

Hi, I have got flexisign pro, and winpcsign letter 2005. I use flexisign pro to make jpeg images to eps images. And use winpcsign letter to send the images to my plotter. I have only recently started using flexisign, and I can't get drivers for my plotter so have to use winpcsign letter. I use colourtrace in flexi to make the eps images, which work on all programs once saved as EPS. The EPS images import fine into winpcsign letter, but when I try to send the images to the plotter it says the images need vectorising first. I don't know why it says this only with the images I have converted. Can someone help me please, do I need to do something else in flexi to make t…

So I am trying to cut some stencil's last night and my Flexi will not connect with production manager. On my desktop, an older Dell, once I click on the cut button production manager box comes up but then nothing happens. I switched the usb to my laptop and clicked on the cut button then I get a box that reads " an unexplained error has occurred and recommend shutting down" anyone have this before? The only thing that is the same is the file I am trying to cut, the plotter and the usb cable. Any ideas.

hi all, new to the forum and I and I recently had to reinstall everything on my computer and now my plotter wont work with my version of FlexiSign 7.6. I have tried to get the driver for my plotter again, however now whenever I log on to the flexi site to get it (http://www.scanvecamiable.com), I dont have any download options on my login. wondering if anyone has the Flexi driver for the Vinyl Express Qe60 or knows how to get it thanks in advance for any help -James james.kilpatrick007@gmail.com

I always see posts about Flexi and I think Im missing the boat When I first started using a plotter system my rep at the time said I could use Corel to make designs and export then into my plotter software( Computer Cut). I'm using flex and I can not get it set so it will only cut once. I have changed passes in production manager to one pass but it seems to cut the outlines twice. I have looked all through my plotter settings and the production manager? Any ideas why? Thanks ahead of time

whats the difference in this flexi starter disc than the real flexi. I see the starter disc going on ebay for $80 from signsupplywarehouse.com's auction I believe is what it was. since im having all these problem with the flexi I have now, should I buy the real thing and reinstall it all?

Whats the best specs to look for when buying a computer hard drive/tower to run FlexiSign Pro 7.5 v2? Ive installed it to 2 laptops, 1 worked but cant get it to open the Production Manager to set the settings to cut, the other one just plain wouldnt install. Tried to install it to 2 desktop computers (1 brand new and 1 really old) and wouldnt work on either of those. Im stuk using Sign Pro right now and the discs id like to open wont open with Sign Pro, only Flexi on the 1 laptop, and when I save the files to disc Sing Pro wont open them. So ive decided to buy a whole new computer, or atleast a good used one to start all over with the FlexiSign program instead of wast…

I have ran flexi sign for sometime with no problems. But I formatted my harddrive now When I begin to plot everything on the desk top seems to move in slow motion and the mouse cursor is jittery. Before I could design the next sticker while the first one was cutting. Now I can bearly open a folder. Hopfully someone else has fixed this and can relive my headache. Thanks Troy

This may be the dumbest question in the world to some of you. But I'm still learning a lot. What are the advantages to Flexisign over my current software which is WinPCSIGN. I have been using it for a few years now and it seems to do everything I want. Accept for the Autovectorization seems to just throw a bunch of zig-zaggy lines down and I then have to clean it all up. Can anyone convince me to spend the extra money on Flexi?

so I work with a guy running a vinyl shop. hes looking to upgrade machines and software (currently running 6.0 on a 98 machine). looking at either flexi 7.5 or 8.0, and a new tower the question is if flexisign supports AMD 64 bit or AMD at all. Im rather afraid that the hardware key will not wanna cooperate with the processors or not (in theory it should be fine, but you know...better safe than sorry) weve asked tech support, but they suck and are yet to get back...they gave the system requirements but didnt actually answer the question. thank you so much to anyone who can shed some light on the issue. someone using a 64 system or what not? thanks in advance yet ag…

Ive tried to install FlexiSign on my laptop and my desktop. I use the desktop computer for the creation plotter right now with VinylMaster Pro, but am wanting to install Flexi. I think it installed both ok, but when I go to open Flexi on either computer, it says it doesnt have a "hardware key installed." Can anyone help me with this? What it is and how to fix it? Thanx!

Hi! I have a little problem with cutting out larger pic and texts with FlexiSign 7.5. It seems the pic or text gets a lower resulotion and half of the text or picture dissapears in the preview mode and when it cuts out the pic/text its the same. The corners that are round in the picture are mor sharpe and eggie. But when im cuting smaler pic/texts I dont have this problem. The cutter I use is a Roland GX24 Im attaching a pic of he invalid text. Im thankfull for all help I can get. Best regards Richard Soleymani richard@artreklam.se

Hello all. I'm having issues with my Flexisign 7.5 not allowing me to select any plotter from the Production Manager setup screen. I have had FS 7.5 installed on my first shop computer and worked fine for about a year with no problems, but I decided to buy a new computer because my current one is considerably slow now and flexisign won't allow me to plot anything. It functions flawlessly otherwise and allows me to do anything but plot, so I am still stuck using my old computer to output the jobs. I use a Graphtec CE 3000-60 plotter and it has served me well till this day, but no matter what I try with my new computer it won't recognize the plotter inside FS, even tho wind…

I have been trying to add fonts to flexi but I cant seem to get it to work. Under flexi/program/font is where I have been placing them BUT they are not sowing up when I open the program.

Is it mandatory to shift film when cutting?
I stopped side shifting a long time ago. Today the only cut I'll make is the bottom and top edges. Sometimes I'll shift the bottom down before cutting the top if the inside door sweep is low. For the sides I'll use a marker or grease pencil to mark the edges and cut them out on my peel board. One small wiggle can cost a bunch of embarrassment if you gaff a rubber or scar the glass.- 1

PPF Cutting Software
The only software not tied to a specific film manufacturer that I'm aware of is TintTek. They offered both tint and PPF patterns, it's been a number of years since I used them so I can't say what the current pattern quality is but at the time I switched their PPF patterns were hit or miss depending on the application. -

Tablet software
I'm not 100% sure so take what I'm about to say with a large grain of salt but what I think you would need to do is have your computer hooked directly to your plotter with whatever software you're going to use and then enable remote access to that computer via your tablet and run it that way.- 1

What did you tint today?
Actually got to work on my personal vehicle for once. 5% over the back, 20% on the fronts, 70% on the windshield and 35% on the pano roof. Also tinted my rear taillights, third brake light as well as the front side headlight markers.- 3

Is it mandatory to shift film when cutting?
It is probably easier to go on youtube and watch some videos but I'll try to explain as best as I can. In a nutshell you want to cut one side of the rolldown, shift the film over by 6-8mm on the same side you just cut, cut the other edge and then shift it back to "center" it (same amount of overlap on both vertical edges), roll the window down and then do your final cut along the top edge. As long as there is no light gaps you are good to go.- 1

I’m in the learning process and many people shift there films quarter of a inch to the left or right. What does that do? I seen the tints on my car done by the dealer and the film doesn’t looked like it was shifted but there’s no light gaps either. -
