del sol wet shrink problem
by Guest snookumsthacat- 2 replies
hey well I I tinted the 2 roll up windows on the doors with no problem, and I didnt even need to wet shrink those. I am having a real problem wet shrinking these corner door windows that have a concave shape in the window. they are triangle shaped, and whenever I try to wet shrink the fingers out of the sides, they just wont shrink. I ended up wet shrinking soo long that the tint just shrunk too small for the window and it looked too bad to even consider putting on the window, and this is realy nice 50% madico tint. does anyone have any experience on a del sol , or know what im doing wrong? lol I have 7 days til I leave for marine boot camp and id h@te to leave this look…

Read This before you go to the link! Here's another good one someone sent me: http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/honda.php There are no computer graphics or digital tricks in the commercial. Everything you see really happened in real time exactly as you see it. It took 606 takes. On the first 605 takes, something, usually very minor, didn't work. They would then have to set the whole thing up again. The crew spent weeks shooting night and day. The film cost six million dollars and took three months to complete including full engineering of the sequence. In addition, it is two minutes long so every time Honda airs the commercial on British television, it costs a sm…

I have been having major problems with finding front speakers to fit my car. The first ones I bought did not fit and I was told to find spacers for them but nowhere does them either for my model. Can someone please reccommend speakers that would be able to fit? I was looking for around 140 watt ones. Thanks for any help in this.

Just done one in a 5 door model. Do you have them over there in the USA? About the car.....very, very awkward tiny front fixed 1/4 vets to get water squeegeed out. Power window glass cannot be easily blocked out to make for a space to get the film down and in behind the gasket. Trim removal should be done but the trick is how to get it to come off. The secret lies in the entire surround cover that houses the electric window switch. It must be unclipped and pulled up from underneath. You will see 3 or 4 little holes with lugs...that is where you need to get something in behind it to lever it out. Once done it comes off easily exposing 2 or 3 screws to take the trim of…

Per Honda: 2003-2006 Honda Accord- Remove Panels 1 2
by Guest clevelandohiowindowtint- 15 replies
- 7.4k views
Honda Service News states the door panels must be removed when tinting the 03-05 accords. A local dealership also states this carries into the 2006 model year. The Honda ServiceNews article states not taking the panel off has resulted in the deformation of the weatherstrip and the binding of the window when it is raised an lowered. The bulletin states the tinter must remove the door trim panel and never fold the door glass weatherstrip wipers under. Check with your local Honda dealer for a copy of the article. In the past doing it the improper way may have worked, but the repair runs $440 per front window on a 2006 model. Please check with your Honda dealer …

Problem removing radio from 02 Civic Sedan LX
by Guest 2hondacivics- 5 replies
- 4.3k views
I just bought a 2002 civic sedan, and the radio is a cassette player, I want to install a cd player but my man and I cannot figure out how to remove the original radio. the dealer said that the bottom compartment (under the radio) pops out so I can install a cd player, only it doesn't come out the way the dealer said. My man said the only way he could do it is to pry it out and that would damage the interior. can anyone help me?? another questions... why the hell is a cassette player standard in the 2002 civic models?!?!

Rubber seal in door won't flip back up - Help!
by Guest nukem2k5- 6 replies
- 3.2k views
I had my windows tinted about two weeks ago and tonight I noticed that the little rubber pieces that were supposed to flip back up (the inside window seal) did not actually flip up. In fact, my driver window now has a scratch along the tint. I was able to wedge various objects into the two front doors to get the seals back up (which now look miss-shapen - I'm hoping over time they'll be flat again). I am not, however, able to get the two back windows fixed because they don't go down all the way. I'd call the place but I have a feeling they'll be out of business for a while (I live in SE Louisiana and there probably won't be power in my county/parish for several weeks…

Hi everyone, I'm new to tintdude.com, my first time here. This is a great site, I love it. Anyway, I'm also new to the tint industry, just starting out. I understand it's a difficult trade, but I love being around cars & trucks (to work on). Can someone please help me out with this one? I have a 2002 CRV to do today & the rear window has the hinges on the outside top of the window, how do I shrink around them? or do I cut around them? If someone can help, I would really appreciate it. Thanx in advance everyone. P.S. This really is a great site.

What have you installers done in order to rectify the problem. Thanks in advance guys. Have a great rest of the week.
