Did our first new Sonata today. Comes apart same as always. Front and back edge on roll downs pretty tight but manageable. Added quarters to front door similar to Fusion. All in all not too bad just little time consuming. Sharp cars tho

Back window went ok, you can only remove the center headrest. You don't have to remove any rear brake light The 4drs are screwed. theres a hydrophobic coating on the glass and makes it an impossible install if your 2 steping the windows. Also the rear doors are like the bmw 7 series the bad ones to tint. The doors panels have to be removed because you cannot heat the glass up and pound out an creases you may have due to all the glass is laminated. Bringing car back to dealership and see what plan b is. Theres no way im pulling those door panels off the car. Probably 6k per panel. This car is now on my list of cars to never touch. Unless the dealer…

Front doors are cake. Just pop off corner speaker and the top of panel pulls back and just lift out gasket. Didn't do any other windows, but the rear door on the one we did had the pull-up blind so might be more of an issue, hopefully just pulls back at the top as well. Back 3 cargo area windows look straight forward.

Does anyone know what this plug is for on the windshield? First time ever dealing with a plug not associated with mirror itself! I’ve tried looking it up and maybe my wording isn’t the best. I’m not sure. Any help is appreciated.

3 screws to remove door panels 1 right behind door handle (remove plastic) 1 down in arm rest handle (remove rubber pad) 1 down low under the curve of the door handle, may need a light to see but you will find a small cover, remove with hook tool. These steps are for BOTH front and back panels, very easy! backglass has a unique matrix line that outlines the 3rd brake light. You will get a small amount of silvering. Using dotrix or glue are pretty much out of the question. Quarter glasses are very easy to do. Also the rear pillar covers around the BG pop right off and help a lot with BG as …

Here are the instructions for removing the sweep from the new G90. Front Doors: remove 1 screw behide the handle and 1 screw from the armrest. Pop off door panel toward the lower front of the panel. Remove your sweep and done. Back Doors: took us some time to figure this one out. Remove screws like you would the front door. Pop off door panel and remove top cover. Remove 6 black screw to release auto window screen (what ever it is called). I put blue tape to show you guy where the screw are located. Pull the auto screen away from door (it is a little tight due to the sweep but it will release). You have to do this to remove the sweep due to it being o…

They have a quarter window again but they are very easy. The bg is just like the newer sonatas with an even easier shrink. I pulled the panels, it's just one screw in the door pull. The only thing to watch out for if you pull panels is the sail panels on the front doors. You have to pop it loose then pull straight out from each side. If you pull It up or down it will break the plastic clip in the center of the sail panel. It's an easy fix with some super glue but I definitely won't break one again lol hopefully this saves someone the hassle in the future.

But they are all CUTTING from it. See on image1: BUT: There is photo of my lights. WHAT TO CUT HERE?? if i will apply oracal or plastidip.

How do you get behind the 3dr brake light without getting particles in the film. Theres almost no room to slide the film in. The rear fuzzy dash touches the window and is causing contamination.

Just did one of these vehicle yesterday for a Hyundai dealership. Very simple and straight forward vehicle to tint. Gaskets come out very easy and in seconds, I myself don't even need to take off the screw behind the door handle plate; I feel it's not necessary and cuts down on overall installation time. But, for those who want to remove the screw for comfort, by all means go at it. As you can see even though there is a window screen attached to the panel theres enough space to pull the panel back and grab the gasket to pull it out, if you don't take the screw out just shoot some solution under the gaskets brim where it'll slide upon the metal frame to make …

Hyundai appears to be using some pretty soft glass. This was done during just normal cleaning pre-install w/ a new flat blade. First window I've ever done this to.

I tinted my first 15 Genesis sedan today. It was pretty easy. You don't have to shrink the sides and I didnt have any issues with fingers. The back wimdow was super easy. They moved the third brake light tot the top of the window and put a black border around it. I didnt pull the panels but it looks like 1 philips behind the door handle and 1 in the pocket under a rubber cover. Its a cool looking car that shouldn't take more than a hr to do.

Good and easy sides with the trim being abled to be pulled back slightly and the rubber inserts taken out. Horrible rear screen with a dirty big rear deck spoiler in the way which spoils it for being nice to tint. Charge plentiiii.....I did. Devil

Got one to do next week, i was looking at one yesterday and it looks fairly easy but does the backglass need a 40 inch roll? Thinking a 36 is gonna be really tight so i may better order a 40 Also read about the door latches are they some type of new pita latches to get to trigger? Thanks

2013 Elantra Nice little car, really easy to tint. The sweeps are really tight towards the back of the car on the fronts for some reason so for you panel poppers. There is a screw located inside of the handle. Take a trim tool an put it in the notch of the square screw cover and it folds down to expose the screw. Phillips head. Look down inside of the door handles (where the pocket or void is), you will see what I mean. There is a little rubber mat at the bottom of each one of them, it's just laying in there. I used a trim tool to lift a corner and pull them out. This will expose another screw, also phillips. Take them out and pop the panel. There is a drain notch at th…

Wow this must be the easiest Hyundai out there. Plastic rear deck with room behind the brake light, seals pop out with one screw, and no quarters. Fronts do shift a little but the seals aren't tight like the Sonata. I almost wouldn't feel bad doing these for 2 door price.

Ok to do, rubbers lift out but are the rear doors hard to get the trim back in place? Suggest a bit of soap on the rubber to ease the top of the trim over and into the seal's groove. Rear screen in the top corners prone to heat creasing because it bends both ways and a lot to ask of a film to comply. devil

I tinted 2 of these for a dealer this past weekend. Not quite as easy as it looks. From the left side it looks like a 3-Dr hatchback coupe, but it actually has 4- doors including the hatch, which is a 2 window design...a horizontal glass on top with defroster elements and black matrix lines and a large slanted glass below also with defroster elements and the worlds smallest wiper. On the right side there is a rear door with a rollup window. Not really difficult, just time consuming, especially the lower slanted hatch window that also has a spoiler above it.

Tinted a 2012 Equus last week. Very easy car to do, no panel removal needed at all. No shade removal needed either. I did Huper Optik Ceramic 40 on all the sides and rear and did Ceramic 70 on the windshield. I posted pics of the windshield looking out from the inside as well so you can see that it is hardly even noticable.

Did the first Azera to hit the dealer here. BEAUTIFUL car. Easy to do. Brake light is at the top of the rear window, surrounded by dots but easy to pull the flexible rubber light down to get the film under. Quarter glass is in the c-pillar and is surrounded by felt. Lots of masking, but easy.

I do the local Hyundai dealer and do a ton of these new Sonatas. For the first time i had a customer come back and complain that he has static on both fm/am. More with the am but when he gets out in the counrty a little fm seems to fade aslo. The car has the little shark antenna on the out side for the fm but the am is in the backwindow. I have only seem this 2 other times of a dodge vehicle where the antenna is on the inside of the glass. In both times i replaced the film with a defferant manufacture and the prob went away. I have recently switched to Johnson Marathon line and was wondering if anyone else has had this isuue with the vehicle or with the fim. I also can…

I tinted an Equus the other day. It definitely wasnt what I expected. The front doors are easy and not much curve to the windows, but if you pull panels, tape, ect. you will spend alot more time on this car! The back door panels must be pulled to remove the rear window shade mech., I like to pull the rear quarter panels on the back decks of those Hyundais, but I will admit that it may not be worth it. That alone is a good 30 min.. Also, as far as I know, the large, motorized rear headrest do not come out, which seemed to be one of the largest pains to me. Not a major deal, but definitely get more money and alot for more time.
