Anyone else had a hard time of it taking the 2009 Mazda 6 3rd brake light out? I had a terrible time doing so. I finally had the technician come over and remove it. Getting it back in place was difficult as well because the cheap thing wanted to fall apart on me. So much for Quality. What should have taken me 45 min total ended up taking 1 1/2 hours. 2009 Mazda 6 back glass

Hows everyone doing, and Happy Easter. Well I have a 1998 Mazda MPV have done all the installation work on it from the car alarm, auto start and the mobile TV. Am a big person in trying everything at least once. I know how much I have heard that it tinting is a hard talent, and of course I never just jumped right in when doing the other things on the mini van I took a couple weeks of researching the internet and read us much or watched as much on the subject as possible. I guess the question is, it is going to be a couple week before I have the free time to perform this task so I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice or tips for tinting the windows on this vehi…

Anyone know what percentage the factory tint is? It appears to be lighter than 20%, but I could be wrong. Also, if I wanted to remove the door panels is there anything special to know? I am sure I can figure it out like I always do, but just figured if someone has done this already you could save me some time. Thanks.

Let me start by saying I use Suntek HP films. I attempted back glass on a Mazda 6 and used 4 sheets before I said screw it and did it in 2 peices which is HATE and NEVER do. the center shrinking is hard but comes out fine, but I cannot avoid creasing on the top and bottom corners no mater how careful or gentle I am. I used wet shrinking the first 2 attempts and on the 3rd and forth I tried dry shrinking with this Dry shrink spray I use. I finally gave up. . . . . .Any help on this car? I have another one in a week

Fist complete car, many more to come im sure. Turned out pretty good though. Stan Foster's window tint school in Beaverton, OR. (Alexia's Window tinting) did a killer job teaching me how to tint!

Just did the new Tribute. Way easier this year! The back glass has no dot matrix, only straight line blackout and the struts are hidden behind black out now. Also you dont have to remove the wiper motor to tint behind it. The roll ups are not felt anymore...just rubber. I found it way faster.

Tinted a Mazda 5 TS (squared) (UK) Rear doors were sliders and had to take quarter out so pulling the panel was fun (not really) Spent ages on those doors All sorted in the end, rear 3 dead easy Lots of classic questions from customer to top it all off such as tint on outside, why this why that He thought it would be easier with a slider as opposed to a regular opening door

Mazda3 Questions 1 2

Before I start in... I'm no tint guru, so forgive me if I come off extremely novice. I've decided to tint my Mazda3 using a pre-cut tint kit from tintkits.com. I know... most of you will probably snear at this post a bit and tell me I should have a professional do it. And normally I would, as I had a a pro do my Mazda6. However I'm kinda on a limited budget right now and have decided to give it a try. I figure if I screw it up I'll wait a couple months (or maybe next summer) until I have enough scratch to have it re-done. Besides, I'm pretty handy at the DIY type jobs, so as long as I have good instructions I almost always do a good job. I've always heard that the …

Emulating the Mercedes Gas Filled Look with a Tint
by Guest darkst4r- 7 replies

I have a 2005 mazda 3 GT sedan. I would like to emulate/replicate the "Blue" mercedes benz gas filled glass with a tint. 1)I have heard that the size of the glass makes a difference in the final effect of the tint. Hence, based on the car that I have, what you be the best tint to use? 2)Do coloured tints fade more in certain places in comparasion to the regular black tint? Has anyone done this before? Did it meet your expectations? I am currently situated in Toronto - any recommendations for a good place to have this done? What should be the average cost of getting such a tint? I greatly appreciate any input! Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone, has anyone on here done a 2002 Mazda Millenia for a tint? I've never heard of this car and I've got one next week, all I know is it's a 4 door about the size of a camry. So should I get some extra biscuits for all the gravy or is there some issues with this ride.

Just to let you all know (in case you haven't done one yet) they are the same as B4..only difference is you no longer have to disassemble the rear to remove the 3rd brake light because it's now built into the rear spoiler on the outside of the car

When anchoring the back glass in preparation to shrink it, anchor it higher than the middle. It seems that if you anchor it in the middle, there is more excess film on the top that needs to be shrunk, while the bottom is too easy. Anchoring it up top allowed me to have about the same difficulty on the top as there was on the bottom.

Just throwing this one out there I have seen this car and it is a friend of mine but the back glass is going to be a son of a btch. I was just hoping for some expert advice on a very compound curve like that I know about the U shape anchor line but I was hoping for a few more tips like that one.

Guys be very carefull taking tint off the backglass of this car, I had to remove some day old llumar ATR charcoal the other day because a customer was being picky, I grabbed the corner and was pulling slowly on the film when I noticed the defrost lines were coming off on the tint. not sure if this was a isolated case but use caution when removing tint off this cars back glass. I havent had defrost lines just peel off with the tint since the 80`s

Mazda Capella ZI
by Guest vins- 0 replies

Hi All, I recently purchased a second hand import 2001 Mazda Capella ZI Sedan from Japan. I noticed immediately that the ride was quite hard & hash especially on coarse rough tarmac and the road noise exceptionally load, louder than locally assemled cars. I hear that roads in Japan are made of concrete and are like silk compared to our tar/stone chipped roads. Any advice on what I can do about softening the ride and reducing that annoying road noise? Also, is this a common trait in these types of Mazda cars? Thanks for your advice & comments. vins
