Hey folks I had so much fun with the last topic that I want to start another one. I think it is possible but I want to ask before I waste tint. Is it possible to tint the back window of a Porche Carrera in one piece. I think it is an 80's model. The back window wraps down the sides at almost an 90 degree angle.......and takers?

Brand new 911. Had the car back for peeling from the bottam edge. I have slid the film just beneth the rub rail but it has peeled I made sure I got it lots of heat before it left the shop but still had problems. Also the felt caused be a problem near the mirror it is really tight down there to get the film into the side and beneth the rubrail. I am using NR solargard. Should I use a thicker film? Can anyone lend a hand Regards Chip

New Purchase 1981 Porshe 924

Just purchased this 924. It was driven into a garage in 1993 when the owner moved out of town and it has not been started since. The tires need to be replaced before it can be moved. Everything else looks good. I'm sure the gas is a rotten and turned to varnish. Has only 42,000 miles. Does anyone have what I should expect to find wrong with the car? Only paid $500 for it so I can afford to put a little into it. Rick

Filmed our 4th GT including windshield. For those who get one in their bay, molding's a bit tight w/ plenty of felt inside. We prefer removing the door panels of most cars..including this one. Be careful when removin these door panels as we have to say that they are one of the tougher panels to remove (cost of each is $7k - so do not scratch them). On the windshield, the rear view mirror pivots off similar to the Gallardo / Murc.

The actual shrinking and stuff is simple on these cars. The only hassles were fitting in the back seat to apply the quarter and back glass, and the roll-downs that are go down about 1/2 inch when the doors are opened. That is easy to get over by removing the door panels, that come off much like the VW Jetta.

Been awhile since I had one of these in. The dude's restoring it so he had the panels off. Also the quarters were out of the car and the glass shop I share a building with installed them for him after they were tinted.

This car has the wiper motor in the rear deck and a shaft that goes through the window to the wiper arm. Is anyone familiar with this problem? What did you do to tint around it? It seems the best way is to pull it apart and charge big$$ to do it.

Im guessing the same tips apply for the 77' 924 as the 944, but I was making sure. if there are any exceptions to the 'Martini edition' please tell me, and a price estimate would be appreciated..
