Do NOT put a razor blade anywhere near driver and passenger front doors. They have a coating that scratches very easily. Ask me how I know. You're welcome...

*Has the factory UV coating on the glass - do not use a blade on the glass* Overall an easy car for both tint and ppf. Remove the cover plate behind the handle to expose a single phillips screw. After removing the screw the door panel tops can be popped loose and the lower seal removed. The back glass is an easy shrink, headrests are non removable and the roofline is low so access is a little tight if you're a taller individual like myself.

Hey all! Just started mobile window tinting as a side to my main job.. (have 3.5 years experience window tinting) although i stopped for a few years and now getting back into it. I have hopefully lined up a 2003 Toyota Camry. I need to order some film but unsure of the rear window size.. 20Inch roll should cover all 4 doors. Can't figure out if i need a 30inch or 40inch roll for the rear window as they are on the larger side.. Any help would be appreciated. cheers

Just tinted 2020 supra. Easy car ,I pulled the top portion of panels back and removed gaskets. Snapped right back together fine. Customer was super happy. Leaves and returns 10 minutes later with a passenger restraint warning light coming on. I work for a Toyota dealership. Never had this happen on any other car. This is my first supra I've tinted though. Please help!

if you're having trouble shaping these backglass's, ive found that the easiest way is to divide it into an H patern and pocket shrink it focusing on the left and right sides. the middle third needs almost no shrinking.

hello all! new to the forum and just got my 2016 Toyota 4Runner tinted. I chose Formula One Pinnacle ceramic. 15 on the front and 35 on the rear over the stock privacy glass. I know some were complaining about how green the front windows were, but WOW wtf....I did not expect what I got. Can someone PLEASE recommend a tint that will look any better than this?

Hi everyone, I was hoping to get a feedback on the ideal length of tint roll that I should get for tinting the windows of my FJ Cruiser. This will be a first time DIY for me, so as advised by members here, I also expect wastage/rework. I was thinking that a roll of 20" by 10 ft may be enough to cover all the windows, cargo portholes and the rear shield. Would you advise that this is enough or should I go for a bigger size Thanks

Hey guys, I am a graphics guy, no tinting experience at all. But I figured if anyone could help me, it would be you guys. I am in desperate need of a scaled, precise rear quarter panel window drawing (.ai, .eps, .svg... anything I can use in Illustrator). I have a customer who wants me to design him a custom vinyl graphic for their 2020 4Runner rear qtr-panel windows and I need some sort of scaled drawing that I can work off in Illustrator and then send to my Graphtec Plotter. I would normally just cut them bigger then I need them, but my customer is in a different state so I have to make it as precise as possible. I have been researching online t…

Hey guys! I just got a Prius Prime to tint for a customer who had it ordered straight from Japan. The back window looks very odd. It curves inwardly down the lower bottom of the window. Any idea or suggestions on shrinking it?

No need to pull panels. Just cut big Black out up front by mirror has dots down back edge push out on glass and slide down behind seal. Opera glass has good black out also. Rear glass brake light cover pops off easy with panel popper. Slide black tabs like BMW to remove light. Cover ribbon and electrical box with towel just to protect from water. Super easy car to tint

Hey guys, I installed 2 fronts on a 2019 Tacoma today. I was able to bottom load by popping off the trim piece up by the mirror, removing the small plastic push clip below that, and also removing the philips screw behind the door pull. This gave me plenty of room to pull the top of the panel back. I know the entire panel is easy to remove but honestly no need to. Very simple window to hand cut and install, whether you bottom load or two stage. Hope this helps!

I consider myself a very experienced tinter and this window taught me a few things! This is a very difficult window because of how the vehicle acts - the door must be closed to roll the glass - when the glass is down part way it will automatically roll down 2/3 before it goes up all the way.... what I call a nightmare and it cost me a few mess ups before I nailed it down. Here is what worked for me. You will need a helper. Window up all the way. Tuck outer moulding. Lay film across glass slightly in the tuck line. Wet tack a horizontal line across the center. Heat shrink as much as you can into the bottom. Trim on the defroster lines about half way up the glass. …

New to the forum and fairly new to tint. I've been installing doors for a while so that's a breeze but I'm just learning how to shrink and install a BG. 18 Camry wants to kill me. My issues: creasing the corners of BG while shrinking it, can barely reach the bottom edge when installing (short girl probs). I use a side swiper but my arms aren't long enough. Tool suggestions? It's for a dealership so I'm getting them every day. Dry shrinking takes too much time for me. Any suggestions? Brake light doesn't bother me a bit either because it's cut out from the pattern (dealership request). I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong...why I keep creasing it. A…

Tinting my own personal truck this go around. I'm looking to match as closely as possible to VLT, color, and hue of the factory rear privacy glass. Anyone have any film recommendations? Thanks!

Front door panel must be removed to do window film install. Since we like removing the sweep on most of our install, we remove the rear door panel too. 1. pop arm rest 1st with push stick (1 Phillip screw there) 2. pop window roll switch panel next (1 Phillip screw there) 3. Pop cover behide door handle (1 Phillip screw there) 4. and that all folk Easy car and film and vinyl design cut perfect for this model.

Hello all. I'm looking for a great look, not "ghetto" blackout....but a nice % and type of film. What to get, how much to spend, etc. Question 1: What kind of money to spend to get it right? Question 2: What to get AND what not to get. Question 3: Any pointers. Thanks

I will start by saying I have not been tinting for years... I had a 99 solara in today, knocked out thr side windows easy. They had to be shrank becuase of all the bows/curves in the window. I have redone the back window 10 times and still not done. I can not get it to shrink right or anything. The glass bends in ways I just can't get the tint to lay straight and shrink. I have never had so many issues. Any suggestions getting this job done? 10 hours on a job leaves you feeling a little defeated. Have tried both the H pattern and top and bottom which majorly failed.

Tinted the windshield on a 2002 Toyota land cruiser. Also did the rest of the vehicle. After about two hours the horn starts blowing. Pulled the relay and let it sit for another hour or so, go to plug the relay in and same thing. Anybody ever ran into this? Thanks.
