Computer Cutters and Graphics

I would love to visit a shop that is doing 30 plus cars a day. That would be a site. :thumb

The problem I have with plotters is the inaccuracy and the steps that have to be taken to correct the inaccuracy takes to much time to do 30 cars a day. 30 cars a day without correcting the problems would be tough but then you would have unhappy customers or other installers seeing inaccurate work.

The worst thing I can think of is another installer looking at my job and saying wow what a amateure. "look the lines aren't even straight along the edge of the glass and that gap in the rear window jeez not to mention where he cut out the breaklight doesn't even match up." That is what keeps me taking the extra time to correct the problems but isn't that what plotters are supposed to do save time not create more time?

But for graphics they can't be beat. :beer

I have used a plotter for 2 years now and I would have to say if all we did was tint

its not worth it. at our store we now offer clear bra and signs and graphics. the machine gets used alot for other products and my other tinter can now install window graphics and make more $$$$ for little extra work.

can be a good thing if you want to expand to other areas, if tint only, save your $$
