Illegal tint legal on police cars

a few weeks ago I was looking at tint laws in differant states and saw in one of them it said a police car could have any tint on it, anyone herd of this? then the otherday a marked police car from another county pulled up to me at a stop light and had 5% all the way around

I do them all the time. Usually 15%.

same here. 15% or 5% on "undercover" cars or surveilence cars. What if they are doing something illegal in there?

Same here...Our laws allow police vehicles anyway all the way around....commercial vehilces anyway behind the front doors...

I've done several snitch cars and some servalience cars in 5% all around. in texas it's legal for any car used for police work to have whatever they want on the sides.

I don't do it anymore, but I used to do it for them.

while it's legal to do it on patrol cars, I won't do it. only the ones they use that are unmarked and used for running their Dr*g snitches. but I won't do those anymore either.

In Louisiana police vehicles are exempt from tint laws! If you doubt it go to the Louisiana state police web site and read the tint laws! I think its bull
