Minor scratch - Wet sand?

Make sure the car is at least 3-4 months so you know the paint has cured. What I mean by cure is letting the gases have a chance to move up through the paint to escape. Which in turn will cure or harden the paint. Anything before 3 months the paint may still be soft and you could damage the finish. Look in the driverside door jam for the "Born On Date" or manufactur date.
