I have a Viper 650 xv installed on a 2000 mustang coupe. When the vehicle was purchased the system was already installed. uppon inspection I found the Green wire which comes from the door switches twisted and taped. the wires had partialy fallen loose. There were three diodes installed. I only reinstalled 2 diode and now the alrm sounds after several minutes without disruption. The time from when the alarm is armed till it sounds appears to be the same amount of time from when the doors are open untill the GEM module shuts off the interior lights. Any hints?

you have to use a relay to trigger the alarm from the door pin switches. The pulse that the car sends out after it has been sitting for a while is not strong enough to energize the relay, so it will not go off for no reason.

or put the third diode back in. this car is a weird one, the gem sends pulses when it goes to sleep, and can cause the alarm to false.. there is a diode fix available.
