not a very nice car to tint, rear window very curvy, front quaters take an hour plus to remove, all glass has to be shrunk, crappy fragile trims, wot a nightmare, not doing one of these again in a hurry

Hey Wiz........Having a bit of trouble getting the bottom to lay down.........I got the top sorted but the bottom is on the verge of over heating and under shrinking.......If that makes any sense.

Any tips for the bottom edge or is it just go for it and hope.

I did it dry (Baby powder) method cos wet was just an open invite for creases.

Do you find working from the middle out to the edges better on a dry shrink?

On a wet I was taught to work outside to inside but the dry method is something I'm picking up for my self and a few pointers would be really good.

sound like you've overcooked thge bottom if it does'nt wont to lay down on the glass when you're mounting it. Sometimes it's best to give it some heat and then move away, do another area and come back to it, gives it time to relax almost.

Patience prevailed and the job was finished today.

sorry alfa did not get back to you got a 4 week old baby ,and not had much time to get on web site of a night ,if you get one again use a low heat on your heat gun ,and take it slow that should do it

Be careful removing the rear spoiler if fitted - I know somebody that broke the back glass doing this.
