it's my guide to becoming a professional golfer in 5 easy steps.

all my steps can all be accomplished over a weekend. so get the equipment, and let's go make some bling-bling.

the first step is get a golf club. you only need one. club manufacturers like to make you think you need all these clubs when you don't. they're just trying to make more money off you.

just get one good club, (available at any wal-mart or k-mart store) and this will be all you need for every hole of every course you might play on.

the second step is getting a golf ball. notice I said "ball". they come in packages of 12-15, in sleeves of 3. but you only need one of them. (don't worry about the woods and the water hazards, they're just there for decoration. you won't ever be hitting any balls in there)

any ball is ok to use, they're basically all the same, so just get the cheapest. just remove the one ball you need and sell the rest on ebay. :beer

the third step is get a tee. any tee will do. you can get wooden ones, but you might break them and have to replace them from time to time. spend a couple dollars more and get a good plastic one and you'll never have to replace it.

the fourth step is buy a glove. (available at any wal-mart or k-mart store) you'll get a blister on the heel of your hand if you don't. again, all gloves are basically the same, so just buy one that suits you.

hint--if your kid has an old batting glove lying around, this will work just fine too. save some money anywhere you can. :beer

now you're ready for the fifth and final step to becoming a professional golfer. learning to swing.

here is a detailed picture of how to swing the club. practice this swing in your backyard this weekend, and by monday when you hit the golf course, you'll be able to put tiger woods to shame. :beer

after playing a couple rounds, you'll be able to step up to the professional level and that's where the big bucks start rolling in. because we all know how much money the pros make.
