starting in jan 2006 a doctors note won't work anymore in illinois. there changing the law. if you have problems. sunglasses  or sun screen. they way it works now is the note must be from a MD or optometrist eye surgeon, not a optician. and must be carried in the car. and be renewed every 6 months on original letter head and not be a copy. and also notify the DMV. I seen a guy come to court and the judge told him "I see you had a tinted window ticket a few months back", now you have another. did you lie to me under oath? then the judge asked were is the car . he replied outside, they sent a court deputy to check the car and it still had the tint on. the judge held him in contempt and fined him $500.00 and 100 hrs of community service.
