yeah, I could reinstal the OS, but damn, I have so much stuff, and it would take forever to get my PC back the way I like it, plus I have a bunch of stuff I paid for on it. I might just have to try to deal with it.

My recovery disc will let me pick and choose what to reinstall. ( I think? ) Without doing a full clean sweep.

You can't uninstall WMP. You can try to fix by using system restore or by reinstalling WMP then uninstalling Internet Explorer and reinstalling it, then go to the windows update and update explorer and wmp. Use the ''free'' Real one player and you won't have any problems.
