an at home set up-----for what? you do realize a set up is EXPENSIVE? it's not gonna be cheap no matter what size plotter you get.

you won't be able to get into ANY plotter for less than a grand. then you still don't have vinyl, application tape, clip art, fonts, vinyl tools, blades, etc. a good rule of thumb is whatever the plotter costs, triple that amount, and you'll get an idea of what you'll end up spending.

why does everyone think these things are cheap? :thumb I swear, 75% of the customers that come into my shop will ask how much my plotter cost. :thumb unless you plan to use it for making money, a plotter is NOT a wise investment.

Thanks of the info TintDesignz.

I seen that site, I will go check it out agin.. Thanks for the offer but I don't have that kind of cash to spend. I wish lol. Anyhow I just want to start small and can only spend just over a grand for the plotter. The rest I will get over time.

"Got a catch me later plan" LoL

Thanks again.

a grand won't get you much. even once you get the plotter, you still have all the other stuff to buy to run it.

but what the hell do I know.

for an inexpencive program try corel draw 9-10 and signtools 3 you can usually pick them up for less then 300$$$$ they work as well as some of the 2000-5000 cutting programs

only other thing to consider is what do you want to cut??? tint vinyl ppf if yes to all then get a 40" as the smallest rollands and graphtec are some of the most popular do shop arround and ask lots of questions
