how much is a web domain worth ?

about 2 years ago, I let a registration for a web domain expire. After contacting the new owner,

he refused to talk to me for less than 3000$ .

So I did what any enterprising person would do, I went looking for web addresses that were about to expire. I found a local business that let there domain expire about 18 month ago. They are now

contacting me trying to get the domain back. I offered to sell it back for 800$, there balking.

So should I just start forwarding there domain to pron site, offer to sell it to there competitor,

or just forward it to there competitor for the time being?

I have it being forwarded to my website now, but I kinda want to speed things up a little.

K**** did get screwed, someone took that domain before they had a chance to get it. Smart move if you want to make money the easy way.

Im not really squatting on this domain , this one expired . I think 800 is more than fair.

To have a domain recovered from pending delete status cost between 250 and 400

depending onthe registrar.

I see the dns servers have updated and the domain is being re-directed to my site.
