Panarama does have a Sterling 70...I don't know if it's available in a 72" roll though  :evilgrin  I think it is.

Blade,

I've just checked on our new upt price increase list from Bek for OZ and their entire Panorama range is all CDA and 72" available.

ie. their 20, 40, 50, 60 and 70 VLT's.

CP Films make their VS 70 SpectraSelect in the Vista line of films, in 72 inch width

have you noticed an extensive amount of rolling when pulling the liner off?

Do you mean film curling? Haven't experienced that with this film.

Fellas,

Thanks for all of the input. I did get the OK by the customer who wants a 70% VLT yesterday to proceed with the job. Two picture windows included measure as follows-

82 1/2 x64

62 1/2 x 60 1/2

I don't like to seam/splice a window unless I have no other options.

FYI-

I called Sun-Gard about the IR75 and was informed you have to be a elite dealer to purchase.

I also called Sun Tek and they have not yet produced a 70% VLT on a 72 " roll but should have it available within 3 monthes.

Again, thanks for all the info I'll do some more searching and see what I can come up with. :inot

Elitism??????????? What a lot a of hot crock :coffee

That sort of try on doesn't cut with a lot of tinters.

Nice to know Riddler you are some second class tinter and your greenbacks are creased and wrinkled and not of the higher denomiation expected.

TP,

how effective was that Asian spectral film ? And who was making it ?

[*]273326

I have some samples from a Korean company that is:

63% vlt - 44% TSER

71% vlt - 43% TSER

80% vlt - 50% TSER

63% vlt - 65% TSER

These films use chemical absorbers to reduce the IR Transmission. I have put them throught the beam splitter and show a mediocre amount of IR rejection, thus lowering their TSER. The good thing about these films are that they are CHEAP. Even better, they loose their effectivness over time (Manufacturer says 7 years till they are 0% TSER), so you have a reason to contact the client every 7 years to replace. I haven't bought any yet, so I don't know what the adhesive is like. Since these are mainly automotive films, I woulld asume they are pretty easy to hang.

It's a way to keep their prices higher for their dealers that stick with them. Same idea behind vista, huper and V-Kool.

BTW (As I understand it) Sungard IR-75 uses a chemical absorber as well for it's heat rejection.

Looks like I'm going to go with the Llumar N1065 on a 72" roll. The only drwa back is they require a 50" roll to be purchased when I need a 25' roll. Beggers can't be choosey, right? :dunno

Thanks again for everyone's input.
