Guest sregor13
I have a 96 Subaru Impreza Wagon and a 94 Subaru Legacy LS. How much would one expect to pay for a good tint job with good film. I live in Wyoming and I don't trust the shop here in town. Can someone please share what each of those cars should cost? Thanks, Gabriel

[*]275582 Thats fine. Could you give me a price from your own area? I am only trying to determine ballpark estimates. It would seem there is an loose industry standard. Maybe not. Oh BTW I realize this is my first post, but I don't understand why you thank me for stopping by- Am I not welcome to stick around? Thanks
Guest Sprinter
sure stick around, most the time people just want the price and then leave, so by all means stick around. no prices from me, best bet is to call everyone in your phone book and see what you want to go with, were not wal-mart or target prices arn't the same across the board wish they were I'd be a millionair by now if it was this way. [*]275588 Assume you were travelling to Yellowstone and you broke down in Lander, WY. Assume you had tinting supplies but needed a Mechanic to fix your car. So the Mechanic happened to have all the tools of the trade ( Stainless Steel Olfa Cutters, Squeegues galores, Pressure Sprayers and the Whole nine yards) He says I have these two Subaru's that need tinted and I will give you credit for tinting them toward the repair of you Vehicle. What dollar amount would you charge?
Guest Rama
First off, a more important question should be what will the final job look like, and how long will the tint hold up. Price should be your last consideration. Quality of the product used, quality of the install, and who will stand behind the product are all questions you ought to ask. Price ranges should be anywhere between $200 to $700 depending on how desperate your tinter is.

He has some lifetime warranty 13 Platinum ( I think thats what is called) but anyways it is a lifetime warranty film. He has one left handed Olfa Tool but no squeegues or, blades or anything. So today I bought him a bunch of supplies to do my 96 Impreza. I only spent $60 Dollars. I know he did not get everything he needed so I am online trying to buy him some more supplies. He has a year or to in the field so it is looking pretty good so far. The windows on the Impreza are convex and so it is a little harder than the Legacy will be. The Windows are frameless and there is like an inch of black around them all. But more to the point. I am think about getting him a couple hundred Stainless Steel Blades and an entire set of tools. It will cost me about a couple hundred bucks ( I realize I might not get him every tool available, but a good start) I want to be fair with him for doing a job that would cost me otherwise. I didn't want to attempt it myself. It looks time consuming and it also looks like an Artform. Just like most things Concrete, Stucco, anyone can learn the basics but some people tend to have a knack for it. It is not as easy as it looks. I was also hoping he could take me on as an apprentice just so I can diversify my trade. The whole price thing boils down to whether or not I will have him do my Legacy as well. I dont want to take advantage of him. Thanks
